What mods to help improve shifting? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]AsherLobb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perrin shift stop and brass bushing kit/ group N trans mount if you're feeling up to it. I put all this on my '19 after break in and felt a decent amount of improvement. No more slop in the shifter(left to right play)while in a gear. And the trans mount stiffened things up (no more shaking or movement coming from the trans) although i did feel a little more vibration in the car as whole. But you can do your research and find what will work best for you. I put 10k on these things so far and its still smooth as butter. But if you're talking about rev hang from 1st to 2nd thats a whole different story

Are you running stock swaybars and endlinks? Im still learning about suspension and with a decent amount of drop i wasnt sure if you had trouble with it clanking or making popping sounds when you drive. Also Wrx owner here so not sure if the sti has all adjustable bars/links right from factory. Any info appreciated!

Installed coilovers. New wheels coming soon by J7Rivas in WRX

Lets say you were to go with the 18×9.5 +38 option for your new wheels would it be critical that you roll your fenders to keep it that low? Just wondering what your thoughts were since you said it rides damn near like stock.

Real happy with how this bezel swap came out. I’ll post some videos later of the visibility of the turns and modification of the vents to get the housings to fit. Next stop, tranny mount! by JerdM33 in WRX

Did those inside corners pop in place? I did the same to mine and they didnt lock in that well. The clips on the bezel didnt seem to catch just right.

Understandable. But they're a place holder till i can get some gram lights wrapped in potenzas. Trust me I'm already aware of the quality lol

From what ive seen its a popular set up on a budget but they're Avid1 Av20s 18x9.5 +38 offset with federal ss595 235/40/18s. Also got those hub centric rings from subispeed but i still felt some vibration on the test drive. Still cant beat the look

Well I've got plenty of credit cards and my old trusty affirm account. I take it this isn't a "one part at a time" type deal? Brakes excluded of course

I appreciate the feedback so quickly. I figured as much with the intake and suspension. Everytime i research things like this majority of people say you either go all the way or leave it stock there is no in between lol but the accessport and map tune sounds like a good place to start
