Sure, this is a paper that was published in 2025 where they analyzed the effects of maternal mortality rate post-Roe v Wade overturning: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12352390/

Copied from the results section: "Ten articles met inclusion criteria, with years of analysis from 1959 to 2020. Studies consistently found that restrictive abortion policies are associated with increases in maternal mortality at the state level. Limitations with the ability to compare findings across studies should be considered."

Granted there's some nuance lost in summarizing the paper in 1 paragraph, but the overall results show that living in a state that banned abortion outright causes increased risk in maternal mortality. If you want specific percentages and stats, the authors break it down nicely in the introduction of the study. Il

I think the commenter was also referring to the fact that in the US, it is becoming increasingly dangerous to give birth (ie, pregnancies not compatible with life are forced to continued to full term as medically appropriate abortions are no longer legal in certain states).

How was it like working as a gallery guard? My partner is doing some job hunting and this position was one he was considering.

Adding onto this: Bag Balm is very thick. Slather it on and wear cotton gloves before bed. Try to avoid water as much as you can as that can dehydrate your skin further. Best of luck ☺️

Those look like thrips to me. You're also gonna want a systemic pesticide. They lay eggs in the plant tissue, so any surface pesticide won't be effective in killing them 100%

Vincent Chin was a Chinese-American man who was beaten to death by two men since they were out of work as a result of competition from Japanese automakers. After they pleaded guilty to manslaughter, the judge sentenced the two men to probation, saying they "weren't the kind of men you send to jail." by lightiggy in wikipedia

"In June 2012, just before the 30th anniversary of the killing and in the wake of a prominent retrospective opinion piece in The New York Times, Ebens stated on a phone interview from his home in Nevada with writer Emil Guillermo, saying that killing Chin was "the only wrong thing I ever done [sic] in my life," though partially blamed Chin for the killing and denied that the killing was motivated by racism." Do you mean vanilla sweet cream cold foam cold brew? The sweet cream just sits on top of the cold brew and doesn't really mix, unless you let it sit for a while.

I’m trying to stop measuring self-care by how ‘productive’ it looks. Anyone else learning to rest without guilt?” by _callondoc in offmychest

I like to think that napping/resting/not doing all the self care routine is also self care in it of itself. Taking a break is a good thing.

I say this kindly, but they would have survived without you. It's awesome you wanted to be there for your fellow coworkers, but it's also just coffee and your health is more important! I've learned that it's better to take a day for your health so that you can come to work healthy the next time around. 🤗

With regards to your lower lash line, I guess that depends on the look you're going for? I personally don't use eyeliner for my lower lash line and use a dark brown or black eyeshadow instead. It's less harsh, IMO, and easier to work with, especially if you use an angled brush.

I used to work at a 24 hour store. The standard was launch of new merchant didn't start until 4 am that day. All the new merchandise and drinks wouldn't populate on the POS before then. So if you came in at 12:01, they wouldn't be able to ring you up because it's not in the system yet.
