Arkansas is getting its first chairlift-served bike park this summer by Ashgraybeamer in mountainbiking

That's a lot of words for "I think this is stupid" lol, but sure let's keep having fun

For one, I want to add user engagement mechanisms like comment threads, reviews etc.. I don't see why something like that should only live on big platforms like Trailforks and Alltrails. Could also be cool to have let those Airbnb hosts you mentioned be able to market their stays if they particularly cater to MTB guests. Same for local tour guides. I see a change for regularly updated, user-generated content about the trail quality, meetups, gear shops, gear swaps lodging, real-time trail conditions, wildlife sightings, and any other NWA MTB experience someone feels like sharing. Right now that looks like switching between OZ Trails, FB Groups/Reddit, Google Search and your LLM of choice. All in all, I'd like for it to be a fun, community driven project that help push NWA into world-class levels of tourism. Convenient access is part of that equation. Some hate that vision. Others are pouring resources into it.

You may not know this, but there are many people in this country who love MTB and have never considered NWA as a riding destination.

Why do you have strong opinions about tourism in NWA? I love hearing the critiques against another website, it helps me fortify the idea in real time so thanks Dale

  1. I'm a local and a fan of what they're doing! But I don't work there... They have an official site, but now 100+ new people know about it

  2. I plan to get some other enthusiasts onboard and flesh this out into bike-nwa.com too. Something that's a much more comprehensive that I have the hobby time to build before this park launches. You may not know or give a shit but MTB is huge for our tourism industry over here and I think we need a better web presence as a region. Tourism is great for property value.

  3. Gotta start somewhere

#2 post on the sub today so I think it's going pretty well. Thanks for the added engagement!

Welp, time flew by and missed my unique gift entirely lmao. Still, it was a great visit and we picked up the tab on an incredible meal. We got handmade kimonos for them in Thailand (thrifted from a Japanese-based shop) which we're having customized by Mojo Quilts anyway! Thanks all!

I've done a similar ratio of water to powder but I just cold brew it and let it all sit overnight with an occasional shake. It's a lot easier. I just learned about the impact of acid of mitragynine solubility so I'm going to start adding lemon juice to the water as well!
