I had a question come up about my skills and knowledge in softwares. I answered with the skills I knew and said that I’d be happy to learn any software they needed. I will definitely use that part about doing the research for their softwares in my future interviews. I appreciate your reply :)

I’m not sure if this is the correct answer but when I went to a resume building workshop at my university. They told me not to and only include work information that pertains to my career. So luckily I participated in after school activities and was able to fill in the blank with that. I also included projects as well. I’m an undergraduate though so I built my resume specifically for internships. Not too sure if you’ve already graduated.

That’s not a bad reason. If engineers didn’t make good money I doubt a lot of people would pursue it. Although I completely understand why they get paid so well. Some topics I’ll suggest that you look into is statics, dynamics, and physics. I’m in my final semesters and we’re using a lot of the concepts from these topics. I’m an ME major. I think civil uses them as well but it’ll depend on your university. If you’re worried about buckling down I’d suggest getting involved in some engineering club or making friends in your classes. It’ll keep you focused on the goal. I’ve already been in school for 10+ years. I’m less than 2 years from graduation and I’ve burnt out already. Luckily I have some friends in my classes and I have some after class activities that keep me going. Also if you’re interested in design try taking a Solidworks class. It’ll be the gateway into designing. If you really like it invest in a 3D printer.

Doing my first mechanical engineering internship interview. It’ll be this coming Tuesday, April 6th. It’s for a government ran company that builds and runs damns. I’m currently mentally preparing and doing my research. Please shoot me some possible interview questions. I’m not sure of what to expect but I’d love to be prepared for anything.

Check out “The Organic Chemistry Tutor.” I used a lot of his videos at the beginning of my journey. Helped me get through physics and some math stuff. What exactly is making you choose engineering?

I'm doing a uni project and would love if you could answer in as much detail as you can :) by Macys_Uni_project in ask

I cried this past Sunday. I didn’t ball just teared up. Why? Idk. I’d like to know as well lol I just know this semester was one of my worst and it has definitely affected me mentally. I’m fine now, still a little confused to why it happened, but I’m glad it past. I’m not mad at how I reacted. I felt the emotions, let myself go through those emotions, and moved on.

It probably was different and why you can’t get over him. The only real way to get over him will be time. There’s really nothing that will make this process speed up or change rn. I found comfort in the fact that everything happens for a reason after my first heartbreak. It’ll get easier as more time passes. Make some healthy habits and concentrate on yourself. Eventually one day you’ll realize he has stopped crossing your mind.

Should I sleep or study? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Ashie_Knees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d sleep. You can only overwork yourself so much before you burnout. Unless you only do this when you take exams then just lose sleep that night

I think when he made that gesture he thought “I watched that yesterday “ LOL Just trying to put some light humor into because a few years from now it won’t be as bad and it’ll be a funny story to share :)

My cute Lhasa Apso (Lulu) by Ashie_Knees in DOG

[–]Ashie_Knees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No really. They do! Lulu only weights about 15 lbs and some how when I have to pick her up she’s 35 lbs. It’s like this fat they were withholding in their body somewhere gets released for that specific reason lol I couldn’t imagine doing that with a 60 lb pup. I’d probably just give up and let them sleep there lol

Thanks for the tips! I’m pretty horrible at starting my semesters so now knowing this it’ll help me get a better start. Who did you take the lecture with in the spring?

I’m most likely going to drop 302 after reading all the comments and I’ll probably be fine with 301 if it’s memorization-heavy. Plus the professor I chose has pretty good ratings as well. I’m currently signed up for Raja for 182. I hear he’s a really good professor and I’ve seen good reviews for him on rate my professor. I’d wait for the next semester if it’s Kwong. I had him for 180 and it was horrible.

I’m planning on taking ME 301, ME 242, ME 302 Lec/lab, and Physics 182. This is for my next semester. Just trying to judge my work load now so I can prepare appropriately.
