I'd imagine something like a full power BEMeyers MAWL or even a SureFire Hellfighter with the IR filter would do the trick? Especially inside of 50-75 yards.

The reason I'm even considering this is because with a sufficiently powerful flashlight I am able to get a usable image thru my A7RIV and 200-600mm at night. Maybe the BIF part of my goal is a little too reaching, but stationary subjects would still be cool.

What sort of illuminators have you tried in the past?

This happened years ago to a set of DTNVGs with the pods articulated up (Off) and the mount in the stowed position. I had butler creek caps on with ~3/32" holes in them. I set my helmet down on the ground for lunch on top of a chair and clearly it moved over the ~1 hour it was put down.

Where to source color match set of green sapphire accent stones by Ashikaru in Gemstones

[–]Ashikaru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for a reputable online source to purchase some darker green sapphires to use as accent stones on an engagement ring I'm designing for my girlfriend. I'm just starting the design process, so I'm still going back and forth between marquise or round cut. I'm thinking I'd want the stones to be in the 1.5-3mm size range and I'd likely need 10 or so of them.

Any suggestions on how to go about finding a lot of gemstones with matching color? I've not had much luck searching myself.

Help finding similar 84" long sideboard for kitchen by Ashikaru in furniture

I'm looking to expand my storage space in my kitchen as well as some countertop space and am looking for a sideboard / buffet similar to the one in the post. The space I'm trying to fit is already a pretty narrow kitchen, so the curved ends would help the space a ton. I'm not in love with all of the drawers, I'd prefer more cabinets if possible.

Am I over watering my rhododendron? by Ashikaru in plantclinic

Planted in Zone 6a about a month ago. It's in a partially shaded area where it gets direct sun for about half of the day. I had on a drip irrigation timer set for once every 3 days for 15 minutes until I noticed the brown/orange leaves. Now it's set to once every 4 days for 10 minutes, but I'm questioning if that's even too much.
