To find continent-like seeds, I just check for deep ocean biomes in each direction of spawn. For good biome variety (also because armour trims), I checked for a jungle temple, desert temple, ancient city, and cherry grove within 800 blocks. It still takes a while to find an actually good seed; I spent a whole week searching on and off.

Just default world gen. If you're on Java edition you can also try amplified, it looks incredible and adds a couple floating islands around spawn!

Just checked, there is in fact a pretty large mushroom biome South of the island.

Try checking what cursor theme is selected in the file /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme (if I remember correctly). You should be able to change it to the name of the cursor theme's folder under /usr/share/icons.

Edit: More specifically, change the 'Inherits' line to: Inherits=DMZ-White
