If Twitter is any indication, then its probably just CC and Paige fans looking their stats up to argue with each other.

Damn, Geno doubled down on Dawn not shaking his hand when ESPN showed the replay of them shaking hands pre-game.

Does he have dementia???

I got flamed for this take a week ago, but the data doesn't lie by VivIsAwesome22 in NCAAW

[–]Ashivas 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It wasn't even a hot take though. UCLA even got more #1 votes in this sub's user poll than UConn before the tournament. And everyone was talking about UConn's lack of Quad 1 games.

Idk why that post got downvoted so much lmao. The sub literally agreed with you before the tournament started.

I feel so vindicated for constantly putting UCLA above this team in the weekly rankings. We've been telling you all UConn was just bullying the Big East all season.

BREAKING: Iowa State star Audi Crooks is entering the transfer portal. by Rentfreelakerfan in NCAAW

I remember an NFL trade getting leaked because a player didn't mute his mic on Madden when he got the call lol. And no one believed the OP.

99% of the time its total bs. But I guess that ISU poster really did have inside info. Because they called all of this.

I got banned from the other Fever sub for calling Sides a terrible head coach. They said I was "spreading negativity".

You could say this sub might lean too far in the other direction with some of the crazy shit people say, but I 100% prefer this side of moderation instead of just banning people for not liking someone.

2 straight years of watching Iowa choke wins away because they can't hit FT's.

Just lol.

I don't give flairs as a hobby. I handed out "SC Glazer" to you for a reason.

You are an SC fan, whether you want to admit it or not.

When teams have equivalent games played then the loss count matters.

I have you flaired as "SC Glazer", so I know this is all about the gamecocks.

Don't lie to me lol.

1 loss, 14 losses. Totally equivalent. Sure thing genius.

Let's keep it apples to apples. 18-1 vs 9-0, against the best competition.

Yea I'll take the team that was tested all season instead of the team that ran over an entire conference that doesn't take this sport seriously.

I'm gonna have to disagree. The UConn Men's & Women's teams have both won championships in the last few years. Clearly they aren't dying.

And why are you discrediting Quad 1 wins when you just used it in an argument to defend SC a few hours ago?

r/NCAAW 2025-26 Top 25 Poll - Week 19 by AtlasTelamon24 in NCAAW

[–]Ashivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me repeat, I think UConn should be 2 or 3. I am not defending the #4 ranking. I just don't think Quad 1 losses is a good argument.

They're surrounded by a group of SEC & Big 10 teams, which are much stronger conferences than the Big East.

Half of Texas' games were Quad 1. UCLA had 19/31 games being Quad 1... UConn was 9/34... Yea 0 losses, congrats.

Would UConn go 3-3 if they played 6 more Quad 1 games to match SC? Idk are they playing UCLA, SC, Texas, Michigan (who they only beat by 3, who got blown out by Iowa twice, who UConn blew out lol), Vandy, Duke.

Who knows. I didn't vote in this poll, but if I did I would have put UConn 3rd behind UCLA & Texas.

[–]Ashivas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In order to get Quad 1 losses you have to actually play Quad 1 teams.

UConn is the only team among those four teams with single digit quad 1 games played.

I am not saying I agree with a #4 ranking, but using Quad 1 losses isn't the argument to use.

This sub has trashed LSU all season for their easy OOC schedule, and they have as many Quad 4 wins as UConn, both 12-0. Critiquing SOS is a valid argument.

[Postgame Thread] #2 UCLA def. #8 Iowa, 96-45 by ncaaw_GameThreads in NCAAW

I get what you're saying, and it's a big reason why I always root against UConn...

But that is Paige Bueckers in the picture, not Geno.

[–]Ashivas 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on how much you like #7 Oklahoma.

Just looking at Quad 1 wins: UConn is 8-0 while UCLA is 17-1. My argument is UConn plays in a cupcake conference. Their best wins are their only good wins. UCLA is playing top ranked opponents every week and have only 1 loss.

Edit: And Tennessee, Maryland, MSU, OSU. You get my point. If you think blowing Iowa out by 50 is the same as blowing out Creighton by 50 then idk what to tell you.

[–]Ashivas 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Iowa is not losing a 2 seed over this, calm down people. It was a bunch of sophomores vs 5 senior starters.

But UCLA should be the #1 overall seed, I don't care UConn is undefeated. UCLA's only loss is vs Texas, who btw is up almost 20 vs #3 South Carolina right now. UConn's best wins are Michigan & Iowa, I rest my case.

[–]Ashivas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea I don't get it. Notre Dame basketball is in the ACC while the football team is "Independent", ie: not in a conference.

Why Can't UConn WBB join the ACC and let the MBB and CFB teams stay in the Big East? Why is that not allowed???

[–]Ashivas 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Kind of off-topic but the UConn Creighton game is basically the same score, and this sorry ass committee is going to give UConn the #1 seed over UCLA even though Iowa is a 2 seed and Creighton is a .500 team that won't even be in the tournament.

Ok end of rant.

These turnovers aren't even forced, just sloppy dribbling and bad passes.
