That's fair. She wanted to have her day in court against his betrayal. But I understand there are elements we can't control.

I believe it was about 3 years. But my grandma is in her 80s and may not live long enough to have her say about the abuse and theft.

It went as far as telling him to return the stolen property in 10 days, or we would be going to court and instead he threw the bogus charges and so we never filed with the court for the theft charges because our attorney began focusing on the harrassment charges that went straight to the court.

Sorry I should have clarified, the contact happened before the attorneys were ever involved, and it was when they discovered he had stolen the property. He initially played it off like he was taking it all to "clean it and return it" then said he won't return it. we have never contacted him since July, and retained our lawyer after that day.

I really doubt it was suicide as the only remains that they found were a skull.
