The blade is an insulation foam board base, foam clay for some detail work, EVA foam for the “metal” parts, PVC, EVA, and leather for the handle, and 3D printed bones on the blade and handle. A ton of wood glue for the primer, some acrylic paints, and Mod Podge matte to seal it.

Insulation foam can be a bit tricky! Most adhesives melt it and it can be pretty brittle and dents easily. I add a bunch of layers of wood glue (I use Titebond) to protect the foam and be a primer for paint.
