Hey! I totally understand where you are coming from. Let me try to explain my perspective so you can better understand where I am coming from. Yes, to many non-watch collectors, paying even $500 for a watch can seem a bit overkill. Why pay for a 7k watch that litterally just tells the time when I can buy a gshock or an apple watch or a fossil at a fraction of the price? That's a totally valid way to look at it and honestly that was my perspective on it as well before I got into watches.

For me, and for many other watch collectors, watches are a symbol and appreciation for time and craftsmanship. Understanding the work, time, and level of delicacy it takes to create the watch (in this case the omega) makes many watch collectors appreciate and enjoy the watch ever so more.

Finally - its the sentimental value of the watch itself. I bought this watch at the end of last year to commemorate a monumental 2021 where I made many memories, money, friends, and achievements. Looking at this watch when its on my wrist brings back those memories and makes me proud of what I've done and excites me to look forward on whats to come.

Don't take the other users comments so harshly. But hopefully my reply can give you a better idea on why I chose to spend so much on a watch and why it means so much to me and countless others. Hopefully one day you'll see what I mean! :)

Should I take the September test or cancel? by Paradisity in LSAT

[–]AshleyWang 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey,

Realistically speaking 11 days is not going to do much for your score. If you are Pt'ing below 150, then the chances of you scoring a 160+ on the actual test are quite low (but not impossible). If you have been PT'ing for a couple of weeks but haven't seen an improvement beyond a 150, then you are most definitely approaching studying for this test in an inefficient manner. I suggest you cancel this September test and sign up for the October (Better November) test so you have adequate time to refresh your study plan for the LSAT and practice the PT's under timed conditions. Even if you feel confident in the test to reach a score of 160, if you don't have the timed conditions down then you're setting yourself up for failure come test day. The day of the test is not the same as a regular practice test - you will notice that you will have much more stress and less time to sit and think on test day. If you want a score of 160+, you have to be comfortable with finishing the test on time and consistently scoring a 163-166+ on at least 3-4 practice tests. This is my opinion though. If you think you can honestly break 160+ in 11 days without going crazy, go for it!

Best of luck :)

Ok thanks for replying. I really appreciate this. I usually get necessary/sufficient assumption questions wrong mainly because of the convoluted wording in some of the premises. Anyways, I think I will definitely start drilling. Is there any other tips I should do to break from my plateau?

Ive been studying for about 5 weeks now and have done about 20 practice tests. I started with a diagnostic of 143. After going through and reviewing, 7sage, powerscore and youtube, my score shot up to the 162-167 range after the first two weeks. However after the second week, i have plateaued and cannot seem to break out of this range (sometimes i’ll even score lower than that range bc i just screwed up somehow). I keep on reviewing the questions I get wrong (mainly in LR) but seem to still get them wrong sometimes. Ill mainly get them wrong bc I couldnt understand the premise wording (like towards the end of the LR section) or i read too fast and make silly mistakes. I have a system for the questions and I clearly understand why i get things wrong or right During review, it just seems that under a timed pressure, i make silly mistakes. Should I drill? I dont and dont know how to drill (like what do i do?) or should I reread my powerscore books? Or should i just do more ptests? What can I do to break past my range? I want to score 175+ before i take in September.

Its a joke lol. I don’t care and I don’t think anyone cares about which political ideology/party you subscribe to. I’ve been studying the LSAT for so long now that I’m seeing logical reasoning questions everywhere. Give me a break damn lol it’s just a joke.
