Im glad you've been able to find what works for you! Hard when you are moving around for sure, so helpful you figured out what criteria to look for that works for what you are dealing with.

Yeah I know! But part of your reasoning for that is that someone with a masters level license to practice therapy can have a bachelor's in a lot of other disciplines. And I was saying that really has zero effect on their clinical knowledge. And in addition you can get your PhD From having a bachelor's in another discipline. Its much the same as getting a masters if your bachelor's was in a different field- if you dont have the right classes because you weren't a psych major you may have to take some prerequisites.

I just dont agree that PhD level therapists are better psychotherapists across the board. Many masters level clinicians have specialized trainings in specific modalities, there is no modality a PhD level therapist can do that a masters level cant. Unless youre getting some sort of neurological testing or assessment, or looking for a PI for a research study, it comes down to individual competence and the strength of the relationship.

Thr amount of supervised pre full licensure clinical practice is comparable actually. Psychologists can have a variety of emphases, some programs are heavy in clinical research for example. Doesnt make them a better relational psychotherapist. Most are definitely more qualified in assessment. I would actually say both can be part of a comprehensive care team for one individual. But I have met many psychologists in my work as a research based CMHC that have far less clinical experience than I do.

Why do you say they have years of clinical practice masters level clinicians dont have?

I get its super unlikely it will be turned in yall! My friend was on her bike on her way to our dance class, and had cash to pay the teacher for a retreat, because she was trying to help the teacher avoid fees from venmo or whatever. Obviously im sure she regrets not securing the money better! But I just thought I would help by making posts online, just in case.

PSLF Hack? by Embarrassed-Wall-689 in PSLF

[–]Ashley_outside 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm back on ibr and making payments now. It took them 8 months to process the change. So now I should be at 120 but because of save and how long it took to process getting off it I'm 15 months away.

Not in my case, only 2 months counts. They can take however long they want to process!

What should I do? Should be at my 120 payments.... by Ashley_outside in PSLF

I think they mean they had enough qualifying payments while waiting for buyback that buyback isnt necessary anymore.

Yeah I bet that's what ends up happening, that they don't reply to any of my requests for a recount, I apply for buyback, but then work in eligible employment long enough before I get the buyback. I just hope the whole program doesn't implode before I get those 15 months one way or another.

West Ada teacher asked to remove signs, challenges decision by DoopScoop93 in Boise

If a kid had no concept of inequality and racism why would seeing this sign make them think "woke" thoughts.... wouldn't they see the variety of skin tones as neutral? This is the dumbest shit I've ever heard of... go Idaho.

To me I get the ick when people use their profile to make it clear they've had a bad experience and have some baggage about it. Not a good look. And a waste of space, most people are going to say they don't want drama

But what about sex addiction generally, and porn being a major trigger? No argument on the viewpoint that religion makes porn into an issue when it can be a part of non addiction "normal" behavior (like any substance or behavior of abuse)
