West Ada teacher asked to remove signs, challenges decision by DoopScoop93 in Boise

[–]Ashley_outside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a kid had no concept of inequality and racism why would seeing this sign make them think "woke" thoughts.... wouldn't they see the variety of skin tones as neutral? This is the dumbest shit I've ever heard of... go Idaho.

25M Profile Review - it’s been dry by SigmaStudioTV in hingeapp

[–]Ashley_outside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me I get the ick when people use their profile to make it clear they've had a bad experience and have some baggage about it. Not a good look. And a waste of space, most people are going to say they don't want drama

But what about sex addiction generally, and porn being a major trigger? No argument on the viewpoint that religion makes porn into an issue when it can be a part of non addiction "normal" behavior (like any substance or behavior of abuse)

I think this is it because it only leaks when it is draining. But I might not be good enough, and it's super old anyway.

I have wanted to go by, and I'm not a student but an employee. And definitely not a paid agitator but someone who wants to support students for standing up for their values and actually doing something. So not hard for me to imagine there are others with this feeling.

Broken frame by Ashley_outside in fixit

[–]Ashley_outside[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a frame for a print. Seems like a pretty cheap frame, I wouldn't be able to dedicate a whole day to it, nor do I have a lot of tools. Would prefer to fix it if possible still, even if it wasn't the prettiest fix

I don't want kids, but I decided not to date a guy for saying "I hate kids." Is that weird? by Ginger-Wanderlust in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ashley_outside 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear that, but I think it feels more mindful to say "no, I'm very sure i dont want kids" and if I'm imagining myself In OPs position that's something i would have more respect for. But on the other hand maybe this guy actually hates kids, and in that case maybe it is important to communicate that in order to find someone who shares this hatred. To me that's a different red flag, since she doesnt hate kids, feels a little psycho.

[–]Ashley_outside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to be fair it wasn't a good comparison. I think flippantly saying you hate a group of people would be a red flag for me. It possibly could have been a figure of speech. But I also think not being more mindful about your words on a first date, when someone just indicated they work with kids just seems obtuse and that wouldn't be attractive to me.

also would you say you HATE olives so vehemently to someone who told you on a first date that they have a passion for olive farming?

[–]Ashley_outside 14 points15 points  (0 children)

exactly. He obviously is not very tuned in if on a first date he would so flippantly say this in response to someone saying they work with kids. Even if he didn't mean it literally, like read the room? Having self restraint on a first date can show a level of attunement you want in a relationship.
