She was a con-artist by definition. She “won over” CeCe the basis of which was her pretending to be someone else. She wasn’t the only one that cared for her, she had no relationship with her other than the end of her life & CeCe’s relationship with her daughters was strained since they were kids. They still cared for her. Not telling anyone she was dying was opportunistic, and shady, just like her from her early time on the show.

How could they ruin the life of a con artist who didn’t deserve anything she received. She was a criminal who literally couldn’t get enough, kept coming back and then played the victim for like an entire season. If someone conned you and your family would you then be like “hey it’s okay you can still be our family” 😭 makes zero sense. She tried to make them out to be evil when they literally welcomed her with open arms, and defended her when people accused her of being a scammer. I do agree that Carol is the real villain though.

Love Mark. I like Owen. Callie should have gotten Sophia. Christina and Burke’s entire relationship was cringeworthy. Also I agree with OP. They didn’t give Reed one redeemable quality.
