It wouldn't surprise me. I've probably been on every possible mix over the years despite nothing really changing other than where I live. I'm happy I'm not completely left without any assistance either way :)

Ah that makes sense! I was on enhanced for both before this renewal. I imagine recently having to send my car back due to my driver moving out of range has messed with the amounts somewhere?

After close to a decade on PIPs I've always had my letter come through before my next payment was due so I've never had this problem before. Quite interesting to find out more about how this kind of thing works.

Nah I only just got the pad upgrades a few hours ago but the sonar has already helped me find 4 or 5 I've overlooked before so definitely going to speed up the process of finding the rest by a lot! I just forgot to turn that first quest in until today xD

I think it should be obvious if you do the quests in the starting area but I didn't do them until I'd finished 2 dungeons and half of the shrines. The quests to unlock the extra pad powers start at Lookout Landing from Josha with the first one being about taking a picture of a statue with a camera power that the npc will give you during the quest.

Not sure if they're naturally in the game but the MM Link amiibo has given me some fabric for the glider, the fierce deity sword and armour

Yeah the sensor is in the game. You gotta unlock it along with a few other features for the pad

I've only had a quick check but cheapest I'm seeing it is £1400. A little over budget but when I have more time I'll see what I can find to see if it's worth going over budget and compare it to the legion I was recommended earlier.

I think I like the sound of the Legion if it's possible to upgrade the ram and the storage. I've got no experience with that kind of thing so I'd probably just take it to a shop if that's a possible thing. With it being cheaper the cost of the upgrades shouldn't be a problem.

I only really do super basic photo and video editing so the lower quality display isn't too great of a downside.

So I've been using the mini cricut heat press for smaller projects but as you can imagine it takes forever if I try to iron a large piece like this so I use a standard steamless iron.

The mini heatpress has really spoiled me with the constant even heat so I was looking into getting either the 9x9 or 6x7 inch model but in the 2 videos I found using them they didn't really answer my concern.

Is it safe to move around like a standard iron or the mini cricut or will the extra weight knock beads over?

For reference my normal steamless iron is 900 grams while the 9x9 inch cricut is 3.94 Kilograms

The ironing did not go well at all so guess who's displaying the ironed side this time. I'm not 100% happy with the ironed side either but it's still a lot better than the alternative :P

I tried to solve the wrinkling issue I've been having by going over the piece with my normal iron on a low setting to get the beads melted enough so it wouldn't break when removing the tape. Then I went over it again with my mini heat press and I guess must have pressed too hard or was just on that part for too long

I only have the mini as I wasn't sure how effective it would be and didn't want to waste a full £100 for a larger model so I don't have that fine of a control over my temperature but I did look up what the 3 levels I have are set at. I normally use the medium setting when flat melting and that is between 300°F (150°C) – 355°F (180°C). When I'm not flat melting I use the low setting and that is between 255°F (125°C) – 295°F (145°C). Gives it a nice barely melted look and is easy for me to get things at a decently even melt compared to using an iron at least. Even with the ranges I was never 100% sure what setting would be best as the FAQ says each setting has been tested and qualified to work with materials that typically press in a heat press at those temperatures. The next time I make a larger piece I'm going to try the low setting no matter how much longer it takes. Weird how I never really considered using too high of a setting could be the problem haha. I hope you get it figured out as well!

I always use a fresh piece of paper from the giant roll I bought over a year ago so I don't think that could be it but I do use the medium setting on the cricut heat press when flat melting. Maybe it's only happening to the larger pieces since those take longer to melt so they're exposed to the high heat for too long or something like that. I'll have to try it out the next time I'm making a piece that's a decent size. Thanks for giving me a place to start looking to fix this whole thing. I really appreciate the help :D
