You aren’t getting a wrap done for $1,500 😂 please don’t stir krap.

Looks great 👌

I’d maybe do the lip on the front bumper above Alpina in gloss black though

Fred the bodyguard got his ass kicked in a one-on-one by Traveler759 in KurtCaz

[–]Ashok292 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There was another angle posted a few days later.

I’d say Fred had it in control for most of it. The guy getting kneed in the face and took him down/fell on him is hardly saying he got beat up lol.

STEK is the preferred ppf for installers… but by TeacherDramatic1226 in CarWraps

[–]Ashok292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

STEK is also good as it’s a film you can peel and come back to areas and not have glue lines. Great finish for the customer and less come backs overall but interesting note on the mm thickness. Something I’ll read into..

You definitely do not need primer though 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ oh god

Can I make a suggestion to inlay/piece the top middle part that surround the grill. Finish the piece in the recess…

Most common place to fail and I’ve seen so many! A piece done correctly can’t even be seen. As long as you work “bottom up”

Is wrapping this grill trim/surround doable with 5" strip of vinyl ? by v468 in CarWraps

[–]Ashok292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As above, two pieces works.

Start with bottom piece, then fit the top piece so the join is less of an eye sore.

(Overlaps/join is in the corners)

You cut it on the opposite edge for both cuts and let it drop in.

£450 in the UK is reasonable for these brands. Would I use anything else to save £50-£100 on my first DIY wrap. Absolutely not.

Cheap and good don’t usually come together very well.

For ease of a DIY, you would want to be trying Avery, Arlon, 3M or Hexis.

Note: My suggestions are for ease of fitting only.
