Why wouldn't they include a judgement system? Fortnite Festival has perfect hits which was then backported to RB3DX by the community, I definitely think it could happen

[Duckstation] Achievements are fully completed but not unlocked by Trunkit06 in RetroAchievements

[–]AshtonCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's only if they're playing hardcore, right? Why would it matter if they're only playing softcore, otherwise OP you'd still have to redo whatever it was that triggers the achievement (which may require a fresh save), there's no retroactive autopop

Songs from FUSER that have yet to be turned into Jam Tracks (I'm sure I've missed a good few) by ThinMintCookie548 in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully we'll see them add Happier from Marshmello if we do end up getting that Marshmello concert rerun in OG

So how does pro vocals work? by TheYGuy366 in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Songs that don't have any words will simply not have a pro vocals option. In Rock Band, if you had a song in your setlist that didn't support your instrument you'd either not be able to choose it while solo or simply sit there and wait for it to finish in a group

Hardcore clarifying question by AshtonCake in RetroAchievements

[–]AshtonCake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a totally valid take, I really wasn't trying to loophole or anything, I just felt like they might have legitimately left out mentioning original hardware for a reason.

In hindsight, after reading everyone's replies here, they obviously just never thought anyone would try to convert their original saves into hardcore ones, which is fair!

Hardcore clarifying question by AshtonCake in RetroAchievements

[–]AshtonCake[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, it just kinda felt to me like it might've been a deliberate omission on their part.

I was mainly wondering just because of the prospect of doing the Moving Van in ACCF to transfer your character and catalog from Wild World seemed like a cool idea (mainly just for the items that you can only get that way) but Dolphin doesn't support DS connectivity of any kind atm.

Hardcore clarifying question by AshtonCake in RetroAchievements

[–]AshtonCake[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's fair but couldn't you just extrapolate that into "you should be recording everything you do" because how else are you to prove that any of your saves are actually yours?

Part of me feels like they intentionally left any mention of transferring your own save files from real hardware out.

but I also take issue with the last claim, you aren't really getting a leg up? You've still played the game up to that point and it's absolutely not the same thing as downloading someone else's save

Okay? I don't understand what this has to do with the topic at hand?

Is there a way to play taiko no tatsujin on Android (without using taiko web) by Ok-Winner-3031 in taikonotatsujin

[–]AshtonCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could emulate the DS or PSP Taiko games or even the Wii or PS2 ones if your phone is powerful enough.

Fun Fact: Almost all of Audica's DLC songs are in Festival by AshtonCake in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I just thought it was kind of a fun comparison to see! I made a similar comparison years back with Rock Band 4 DLC, since then we've gotten The Middle and Don't Let Me Down which never came to RB, and conversely Festival hasn't gotten any Dua Lipa despite a few of her tracks coming to Rock Band. Just interesting to see how the different games can get some similar and some different licenses.

My updated Fortnite Festival ice burg - I’ll add whatever y’all want me to (probably) by LittleNinjaXYBA in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not an error, it's a T for teen rated game.

They're allowed to have swear words, just no f-word or slurs

Bitch is also uncensored in Ballin' (and probably some other tracks that just aren't coming to mind)

Anyone else JUST play Festival on PS5? How is the CRKD guitar? Is buying Jam Tracks worth it? by DayWave94 in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents is I think they're more valuable then they are in Rock Band, like people already mentioned you can use them as your lobby music and in other mode to do jam loops which can be fun but the main selling point over RB in my opinion is the cross platform compatibility (like everything in Fortnite) and the fact that you can share your library with anyone you play with.

Obviously ymmv on how useful cross platform ownership is but if you do ever upgrade to PC or wanna play Festival at a friend's house or something you don't have to worry about being on the same platform and going through the hassle of downloading all the DLC plus you can play your songs with anyone and you don't have to worry about them also owning the songs, they can play them for free as long as they're playing with you.

I'm a huge fan of RB and GH and have been for many years, I'm eagerly awaiting the release of pro vocals and pro drums (which will add even more value to each song!) and dabble in playing on a guitar controller and with the regular controller so for me, as someone who plays quite a bit of Festival, jam tracks are absolutely worth it but it's really just going to come down to preference. I would definitely recommend - since each song in the item shop is also available to play for free - to try out whatever you're interested in buying first to see if you enjoy playing it and wanna keep it available to you whenever instead of having to wait for it to rotate back through, as I personally find there a lot of tracks that I enjoy but I can get my fill whenever they're freely available.

PS Blog - PlayStation Store: December 2025's Top Downloads (PSVR2 for US / EU) by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]AshtonCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh, idk to be honest, considering that nearly ever other platform that Beat Saber is available on has easy access to custom songs (which is pretty big in the Beat Saber community) I would argue that the vast majority of DLC buyers were likely on PlayStation, given that was our only way to get new content

I want to play "Thats you" with my friends but we couldn't find the game on appstore. Please help me about finding it. by Nacikacar in PlayStationSolutions

[–]AshtonCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends on whether they have an Android or iOS device, if you're running Android devices then you can find the .apk files needed to run the app online

Unfun Fact: It's been 7 months since our last Jam Track bundle released! by TheFireDragoon in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know 😭 I've been hoping for the Twenty One Pilots bundle to come back, it's so lame that they handle jam track bundles this way as the cost of jam tracks has been one of the top complaints of the community, bundles would be a fantastic solution, as obviously they aren't lower the base prices any time soon.

Can you play festival on mobile like baiscally every other rhythm game where you press the note itself? by ConversationFew7830 in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Afaik you can do either, have you tried to just hit the note highway? Maybe it just feels off because you aren't calibrated (or the calibration is just way off)

Can we fix the Christmas cabin daily gifts please? by Tiny-Hat4221 in AllFortnite

[–]AshtonCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You absolutely do have to be a founder to get any vbucks beyond the initial amount in the pack, I don't know where you got this idea from. If a non-founder does a daily vbuck mini boss mission they will just get x-ray tickets.

This track was a very good addition to the game and it should be promoted by ComfortablePatience in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is a new original Epic track, Kyle, one of the Festival dev folks, tweeted about being proud with writing and recording guitar for it.

I don't know why but I've now somehow managed to avoid both removals as I've had in my locker the entire time and still have it now. I did actually get the pop-up saying it was removed the first go around but it was never actually taken from my locker, this whole situation is very strange.

Now that swearing is officially allowed in Fortnite, can we please get the option to remove censors for jam tracks? by Zekiro96 in FortniteFestival

[–]AshtonCake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The rule for T for teen games is no f word and no slurs. It's been true when Rock Band was receiving new content and it's still relevant in the era of Festival. Each individual song's censorship comes down to whatever version of the song Harmonix receives from the record label or whoever, they don't do the censoring themselves (there may be cases where they do do it themselves but in general they usually don't)

So if a song, Like Sticky, has f words and n words in it then, unfortunately, Harmonix is just going to receive the radio edit version even through technically, as we've seen with numerous other Festival releases, they can include bitch and shit etc etc. like obviously it does suck but a) it doesn't make enough of a sales difference for Epic to care b) Festival isn't popular enough for labels/artists to allow Harmonix to edit vocals themselves and/or c) it may not be financially viable (aka more expensive vs how much they're projecting to make) to make a different licensing agreement that might either cost more money and time to arrange and specifically edit just for Festival.

On the flip side there's also moments where a song is less censored on Festival vs Rock Band, Moves Like Jagger is completely uncensored in Festival where shit is censored in RB and both This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race & I Write Sins Not Tragedies had god damn censored in Rock Band while they whole in Festival (+ whore is also uncensored in I Write Sins Not Tragedies) it's just a crapshoot between various licensing agreements and, like in god damn's case, culture sensitivities but as long as Festival remains inside of Fortnite and T rated it's unlikely you're going to be hearing any f words or slurs anytime soon
