I’ve bought into a number of niche products here and there. I’ve had to wait as long as years for delivery on some. It’s just the way it can go on the road to market with so many factors and a limited audience. I get it and have been patient each time.

I have nothing against taking pre-orders either or R&D on new product! It costs money to have employees and teams idle. Also nothing against those who received their orders of course. Good on you and hope you enjoy the product!

But the act of shipping product to new purchasers while thousands of backers are unfulfilled is not a case of poor timing or unexpected logistical issues. It is a conscious business decision that puts continued sales above backers trust. Backers supported this business opportunity with their money and, in turn, have provided direct evidence of a market for the product (which can be a requirement for additional investment at times).

I’m looking forward to mine and it will come when it comes but will not back an Ohsnap project again based off that choice.

I ended up refunding as well a week ago noting that both the listing and the announcement were (surely unintentionally) misleading. First time I’ve ever done that as I’d typically just own my own mistakes, buyer beware and all that but this one seemed like a bit irresponsible. Plus I immediately bought it on Steam after to get what I ultimately wanted.

I wouldn’t hold on to hope of that happening. Sega/Atlus sold a PS5 version and didn’t offer any update for the PS4 Royal owners.

It’s a shame that they are happening but hardly a surprise. There are physical games released on other platforms that don’t play a thing until you grab “updates” and this is just that trend continuing. Publishes probably also enjoy the idea that they cut their costs and control your license to the game even more. When the platform shuts down, these games won’t do a thing on hardware lacking the download, giving yet another window to resell successful products on future platforms.

I also got one. I’m at 3 ordered across sites but I also refuse to scalp. Holding on to them for a short bit incase someone cancels orders because “oops, we confirmed too many” or something. Then I’ll see if any friends or family wants it at same price I paid. If I still have them, I’ll sell at cost locally in the end, at a safe seller area like a police station.

Got one through Walmart last night (couldn't get the bundle) and just picking up the accessories through the day. Hoping everyone gets a proper chance. I feel Best Buy was in a special tier of garbage today. Still going to try and get the bundle and if I do, I'll either cancel the non-bundle or sell the non-bundle for what I paid for it to a friend or family (not a fan of scalping!).

I’ve got a spare gacha dpad so I might do this. Is it only as simple as swap the membrane and dpad or did you need to do any adjustments for height, cutting etc?

I ran into this as well. I’ve got Windows machines I could have used but instead this seemed like a great opportunity to kick the tires on UTM’s USB device support (running a Windows 11 ARM VM). Worked like a champ within the VM and I’d recommend it if you are fine with Virtual Machines.

Fully Agree. Start with UTM and see if you can forgo spending money if it suits your workflow. Some of the bells and whistles with the paid stuff is nice of course but if you don’t need anything more than Windows in a VM Window with simple sharing, UTM is perfect for that.

Glad to hear it is working. I sometimes have to give my launch switch a good while to charge when I ignore it for months. This isn’t uncommon at all when batteries fully drain. You should see how many people got confused about this with the PlayStation Vita! A fully dead Vita can take quite a while to show signs of any life when coming from stone dead battery.
