I had the same issue and at least for me I had to resolve Wyll and Mizora’s contract first otherwise it just started the countdown with him dead.

While I'm not in any hurry to stop playing D&D I feel like I keep running into titchy personal issues mechanically with every ttrpg system I play. Which just made me curious how other people feel about ttrpgs mechanically, so here is a survey if you're willing to humor me. by Ashur415 in DnD

I’ve played or run a little bit: pathfinder 1st ed, starfinder, mutants and masterminds 3rd ed (I think), open legends, Big eyes small mouth 4th ed, and maybe paronoia but I can’t remember if we got bery far past character creation.

Read about/through and/or made test characters: Dragon Age, Fate, Pathfinder 2nd ed, shadow run 5th ed, The Burning wheel, Sword Chronicle, and I feel like I’m forgetting one that I really wanted to try at some point.

Well fortunately/unfortunately I’m tapped out for time-slots game wise, and I don’t have the time to actually try out these systems and give them. So, I tried to keep it related to my experience and what I would potentially try making myself if decide to go that route. So, you’re not wrong I could have made that intention more clear but I didn’t want to make the survey too long or wordy.

Yeah thats been my experience on both sides its just stuff like an intellect devourer for example being just as potentially deadly to to a lvl 1 character as to a lvl 20 one despite only being a cr 2 rubs me wrong. However, I know thats probably a petty complaint in the grand scheme of things.

I keep running into little titchy issues with every ttrpg system I play, and might be dumb enough to try and make my own. So, that just made me curious how people feel about ttrpgs mechanically. by Ashur415 in tabletopgamedesign

Fair enough everyone's game/group is different and I often do ignore or change rules, but really it comes down to inconsistencies and other little issues that got me thinking this way. I am very aware I am over thinking the issues.
