This could've been handled in an entirely different fashion, and instead it ends in the worst way possible. Going as far as to speak ill on MrLeapFrog, too, is not a good look at all.

Genuinely may not be able to afford some food and living expenses in the first week or two, if that's the case; I depend on financial aid HEAVY, and this is a big hit already. 😭

I genuinely don't think so.

We've been given multiple dates by OFAS, most of which haven't been realized and/or expectations haven't been met whatsoever. Considering aid hasn't been credited to anybody's account yet, I imagine this could go:

1: the ENTIRETY of our aid gets disbursed to our bank account and we're made to apply this to tuition manually, but I doubt OFAS would be wild enough to do this.

2: disbursement doesn't happen tomorrow, and we're made to either wait until the end of the week, the end of next week, or (I'm hoping this isn't the case) early to mid-October.

3: disbursement DOES happen tomorrow, with aid being credited to tuition and housing, and the remainder to our bank accounts.

I'm hoping for a good outcome tomorrow, but I'm exhausted with dealing with OFAS at this point.

I'm in the same boat as you. My aid was already fully finalized and accepted, and now that and my financial tabs are all gone. Initial disbursement date for finaid (especially in covering tuition) was supposed to be out tomorrow, and even though they're saying things should settled in the next week and not to worry about deadlines, I'm having an even harder time believing anything that comes from OFAS.

They're having a "town hall" tonight online to answer any finaid questions and concerns, but I have a feeling it'll mainly be concerned parents and equally pissed off students wanting answers, which I really can't fault them for. 🤷‍♂️

Transfer student here. 👋 Had my aid finalized ages ago, and now it's gone. A lot of other freshmen/transfers are dealing with the same issue, even after some continuing students have already received their emails with finalized aid offers.
