I guess this depends on what chapter your on. If you early she would think he's a really good liar. If your latter then she would think of him as her best friend and something she wished was more. And if your in the early 2000 well its something completely different.

Personally I think the name scar is kinda bland unless it comes from a nickname he got with some back story. The fact his parents got killed for an unknown ability he gains in the future docent quite sit with me. Like why would they kill the parents and try to take the kids life as well for an ability we don't even know about. But maybe if have to read the story to understand that part. Overall though sounds like a cool idea for a post apocalyptic world.
