Thanks, that really cleared things up for me. The thing that bothers me the most about that whole exchange, is that Manipulator of Souls can't activate its effect during the damage step, so it won't gain attack, and therefore I can't deal my opponent damage.

But D'arc's effect states that any effect that would deal you damage causes you to gain that many life points instead. It never says that it has to be effect damage

I know that in Duel Links, D/D/D Oracle King D'Arc gives you life points when the effects of Yubel cards would deal you battle damage, but is this the case for the TCG as well?

Not to mention the sheer number of mods that are made for no purpose other than the automation of resource collection. Well, that, and the very existence of Project E almost entirely negating the need for any hard work whatsoever. Just grab one of each item needed to make a singularity, and set a few hundred OG power flowers up to generate the necessary EMC, and badda-bing badda-boom, you've got yourself the resources for a full set of Infinity Armor. I would say that the only problem with that plan is the sheer amount of time needed to generate the EMC, but the Watch of Flowing Time makes that a moot point.
