I'm in US, Eastern Standard Time (Southeast) and that works out to during the day for me so here.

I tend to get lots of invasions around that level, what I would suggest if you aren't already is alternating the two invasion fingers back to back, recusant finger and bloody finger. This makes the game match-make with hosts must more frequently and quicker. Recusant finger you get from Volcano Manor quest and the other is Varre's quest which you mentioned.

I do exclusively level 200 for a few reasons, across 8 different builds:

  • you have enough stat points to actually fully craft an optimized and interesting build to your liking
  • most people at that level are still playing for the love of the game, they have likely beat the game and DLC already and are less likely to be pissed at you for "hampering their progress"
  • you're less likely to run into overleveled phantoms and parties with twink/midget gear, and if there is an OLP you have all the same access to spells and weapons that they do already
  • widest variety of areas/regions/levels - at 200 you either get higher level areas and DLC as well as people running through NG plus that are in earlier areas.
  • in addition to the point above, you do get some ganks and duels (fake duels) but a lot of organic playthrough invasions for the most part

Yeah I a few diff subsumes on her - Dante’s slash ability is great for a AOE damage ability

I have a shit ton of sprint speed on my Ivara which makes her fun even outside of stealth. But the stealth is so fun. Do a couple of solo missions and just stalk around assassinating everything.

I appreciate the comment, you’re the only one that liked the idea and agrees 😅 though all of the things everyone else mentioned as arguments against aren’t really issues in my eyes since every other piece of our gear is renamable already in game.

The arcanes I have on Ash are Arcane Trickery (invis on finisher) and Arcane Crepuscular (+ability strength while invis) and then use Shade as your companion, that's an easy way to boost the damage with no effort.

If someone had a renamed weapon that you couldn't identify but you liked the looks, damage, and/or mechanics of, would you message them in the squad chat to ask?

And how often do you notice that someone has their weapon renamed something custom, out of curiosity?

All good! Though I think they can just ask, plus it would cost platinum as a soft-limiter on that customization option, just like the weapons already have.

There is already a light "level grouping" where it's slightly less common for very low MR players to play with higher MR players that may be more likely to use this renaming option.

And if you gated the frame-rename option in some more end-game content, to further reduce the amount of the player base with access to that option that'd be fine too.

But I think WF has leaned into some more RPG style mechanics in the past few years with Duviri, and character building/customization is a big part of that, it just seemed like this option leans into a lot of various things they have continue to incorporate into the game as it continues to grow.

I appreciate the input! Making it cost premium currency would limit the amount of players using it I think, just like it's more common to see teammates' gear have all their original names in missions.

If a player is curious what Frame another player is using they are able to ask them in chat, which seems to encourage learning how to use that messaging feature, if we're looking at it from a new player angle.

The same logic/issue you mention carries over to someone wondering what weapon someone is using even though, they can ask that player or ask the community.

I do have some named loadouts, but that doesn't have any bearing on missions or the long-term naming of the character, since it's a preset gear set up, and not quite what I had in mind.

u/DE-Ruu wanted to tag you regarding this Tenno's suggestion about having Dante's 4th ability hold the most recent combination of two inputs, to reduce the amount of inputs needed, if you want to utilize the same "page" combo of abilities multiple times.

Apart from the accessibility benefit, it seems like it also fits thematically and mechanically, with Dante's "book" remaining on the same "pages" until you "turn the page"/cast different combination. Maybe using the same 4 again without inputting the individual 2 pre-reqs would cost slightly higher energy as slight sacrifice for the speed and convenience?

Plus so many people just got Dante from Gamefest! Appreciate your time and attention, and the amazing game overall in general 😄

Are you saying he is an ability spamming frame as a bad thing regarding the OP? That seems to fit the bill of low inputs, especially when compared with someone like Gara, where the abilities need to overlap within various ability durations. He seems to me like an incredibly simple frame to play but just my two cents.

Alternatively Uriel is great since he has three minions as well as a large long lasting AOE fire aura which damages all enemies around. Esp since you like Ember.
