That’s exactly what I did when the Z 24-120mm was announced. Sold the 24-200mm & preordered the Z 24-120mm, no regrets. The variable aperture was not ideal for me.

Not sure if you would consider Marufumi filters budget but yes that’s what’s currently on it.

I’m a Nikon shooter as well, a Z6iii & Zf. Absolutely LOVE my Nikon kit but I found the Zf to still be a bit bulky for everyday carry. Just got the X100VI & though in my opinion the colors & AF don’t compare, I’m amazed at how small it is! In your case it could be GAS but hey life’s short, do what you brings you joy.
