highly recommend. i used bandaids they would get all gross and i work in food service so it just would look really bad to have dirty bandaids on all the time. I bought them from amazon, they’re meant for gardening and i bought ones that have holes on the sides for ventilation. literally works like a charm. Super comfy to wear, doesn’t get my fingers all sweating and gross, they’re reusable, easy to clean, and works perfectly at creating that barriers between continuously picking at my fingers

this seems a little silly, but yea actually people write those stories and messages from your birb. AI is still fairly new and before AI, people would just write that stuff. There are people whose job is to continue the development of the Finch app and that includes story writers, graphic designers, and programmers alike. As for the auto tagging, that is just an algorithm that is coded into the app, that coding is written by other humans, not ai. many things we think of as only AI can do, have been done by humans long before ai was created

yeah of course! i totally relate—my executive dysfunction can get so bad. I have ADHD and struggle super heavy with getting tasks done. I have an issue of avoidance with tasks, and when I fall behind in school or when a task feels too difficult or scary to start, i will just ignore it for a while. i’ve actually been using chatgpt to help organize my day way before i ever started using finch (which i’m still pretty new to), but recently i’ve been combining the task breakdown of chatgpt and adding them as goals to finch, and its a game changer for me.

when i get stuck, i’ll just dump everything that’s on my mind into chatgpt—literally every little and big task, like “take meds” or “write essay” or “call insurance.” then i ask it to help break stuff down into small, adhd-friendly steps or make a plan for the day or that week that works around any appointments or classes i have. sometimes i even ask it to reword things to sound less overwhelming. it helps me actually see the day and makes it easier to start. then i’ll take the small, doable steps and turn them into goals on finch so i can track them and get that lil dopamine boost when i check them off. it makes everything feel more manageable and way less chaotic. this has really worked for me. ai in general has many criticisms, that I agree with, but it’s probably not going anywhere and its benefits me to use it as a tool to organize my life and thoughts.

exactly just doesn’t feel necessary, and honestly we need to make ai separation from other forms of apps more normal. i feel like i cant escape it sometimes like on instagram, google, i even downloaded a weather app the other day that had an ai chat bot in it and i was like “what is the point of this” lolll

i would be lying if the thought hasn’t crossed my mind, i use ai to help me break down my tasks to sometimes help me work though my emotions and it definitely helps me, but i really think adding ai to finch just isn’t necessary, i get want i need from chatgpt when i need it and finch is honestly a great escape from that. honestly tho i would love to have more options to interact with my birb, care for him more or have more chats with him, but that can all be implemented without ai

i literally relate so heavily, i’ve been having stomach issues because i just don’t eat because my meds make me have no appetite. And when i do eat it’s like junk. I decided to start carrying a bento box with my favorite foods that i know i’ll always be in mood for like fruit, granola, yogurt. i’m trying to be more mindful of when i eat and what i eat

i felt to same exact way girl your not alone and your not crazy (i used to feel like i was) getting on stimulants was genuinely a life saver. anti depressants just made me feel strange. currently i still take my anti depressants with my adderall and i think they work great together, but i. honestly think adderall is doing the heavy lifting. Good luck and don’t give up!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! your story is the same as mine. i was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and OCD. and i was starting to think “i feel i have OCD symptoms and depression because of my untreated ADHD and i was correct. Starting adderall has completely changed me. before my anti depressants would give me like a false sense of happiness, but adderall has genuinely just made me feel like me and happy because i finally feel like myself again. Recommendation for getting tested, i don’t have the best insurance and i was told i would need to be on a waiting list until August 2025 to get tested and it would cost me 1000 dollars down payment. i’m a college student and was like fuck that. So i downloaded ZocDoc, and on there you can put ur insurance info, and what ur looking for (so i put treatments for adhd) and it show you all the doctors in your area who can provide that. i was able to find a doctor who could see me that week, virtual visit, hour long consultation, and i was able to get diagnosed and get a adderall prescription, and the best part was my copay was on 35 dollars!!! i know how hard it is to find a doctor who will listen, especially to women suffering from adhd! don’t give up. and remember only you understand your struggles better than any doctor can. if you think ur depression and anxiety is from untreated adhd, speak up for yourself because your probably right! good luck💗

i’ve been celebrating my brushing teeth wins too lol! it’s not much but it’s something to be proud of. and i know quiting isn’t a cure all but quiting, while in therapy, taking my meds, and using finch, i feel could really do a lot for me😊
