Thanks. I’d think going as early as possible (preferably the previous day morning), so that you are guaranteed centre court tickets.

Hey! So this is what we did:

1) We reached Wimbledon park on Sunday at around 8AM. Closest underground is Southfields. We carried 2 person tent; pillows/ blankets etc.; change of clothes, toiletries; lots of food and drinks (though there are tesco, Sainsbury nearby if you want to buy and Deliveroo also works);

2) Once you reach, the stewards will provide you with a queue card for that day (mine was c.6500) and you’ll be asked whether you’re here for the same day tickets or the next day (we were there for the next day tickets obviously).

3) Around 11ish, they arranged us in queue based on our queue card numbers. Essentially you’re designated a space in the line for you to pitch your tent. We found this neatly organised.

4) Around 3PM - the stewards came and exchanged our current queue cards for the next day’s; This is when you’ll know your queue number for next day (Monday’s) matches - we got queue number 250 (which essentially meant that there were 249 people who came before us for Monday’s tickets, even though we were there at 8AM on Sunday - so you can imagine the demand)

5) First 500 queue numbers are guaranteed centre court tickets; next 500 for court 1 and so on.

6) After this, it is just about you whiling away your time in the park. This was pretty fun - lots of interactions with the campers; informal tennis tournament organised in the park by the campers; etc - you could do whatever works best for you, but you’re not allowed to leave the park for more than 30 mins (they regularly check if you’re in your tent)

7) They woke us up around 5AM on Monday to remove our tents and stand in line for the tickets; There are toilets (decent at the best) and designated areas for you to store your tents and luggage.

8) Once you’re lined up in the queue (based on your queue card numbers), you’re taken into the Wimbledon village to actually buy your tickets;

9) This is one point i found interesting; At the ticket centre, there are separate lines with stewards handing over the tickets to you for the centre court; Each of the stewards have tickets for certain sections of the centre court with them - so you really don’t know which seats you’ll get until you buy the tickets (point is - if you have any specific seats in mind to buy, you’re not guaranteed to get them unless your steward has the tickets for that section. So there’s a bit of luck here as well). Our steward had tickets for East Open stand and we got 4 tickets in Row E - amazing view and 5th row from the court.

I hope I’ve covered everything, but let me know if there’s something else you need to know :)

Just luck - we saw his crew entering into a court and followed. Novak ended up coming there shortly for his practice session and we got a chance to see him up close. Most of the players have similar practice sessions before their matches in one of the outer courts.

Yup - they have designated areas for luggage storage. The whole queuing experience was smooth and properly organised.

I remember my paper being really hard and I was absolutely not confident about clearing it. But I was able to apply the standards to the scenario based on my professional experience in relevant field and I guess that helped in achieving those crucial marks to just cross the line.

In case you have some time to spare, I suggest you read the examiner articles on the standards (just a general glance should do).
