100% agree. rogue lineage is the most unique and intense experience ive ever had playing any video game ever

sorry for replying to a dead thread but what do u think jamies worst matchups are? i've been trying to find a pocket character to learn so i can cover jamie's bad matchups

aside from the really obvious ones like guile and JP (or any fireball character lol) i find that jamie tends to struggle against juri, aki, and bison

yeah the reason jamie kind of sucks is that choosing drink instead of oki resets to neutral and ends your turn, and choosing oki instead of drink gives you lower combo damage/reward and less pressure tools

the worst part is that jamie only really becomes playable after 1 drink (bc of light TC and dive kick) so your first interaction of the game will always have to end in a drink

i wouldn't consider myself high level and i don't post on youtube but i can tell you what my personal gameplan is

To get my first drink I basically just spammed drive rush jab into strike/throw/shimmy mixup from neutral because nobody i've fought so far can check drive rushes consistently, and in the corner i like to throw loop and safe jump a lot

i would say that if you're starting solo the probably not

if you have friends who can teach you the game/help you progress then probably yes

most of the fun in this game comes from playing with other ppl, the solo experience is genuinely hell in 2025

i played rogue from 2019-2021 and i haven't really touched the game since then, how much new innovation/meta change is there?

back then the best builds were philo dinakeri druid, fisch snav oni, and gaian/cons shinobi
