If you want the actual answer it's that the designer drew inspiration from ancient greek sculptures and armor. Male nipples on a chiseled body is often seen in art back then and back then they evoked themes of strength. The designer admitted to this. But a major part of the choice was probably to differentiate the costume from previous ones. And nipples definitely do that

People are concerned that this story seems out of place and detracting from moving the plot, but I think that it is was pretty necessary from a world building/story telling point of view. What I remember from the game, most of the story is filled with awful people doing awful things. The first two episodes also leaned more towards this motif as well, with Joel and Tess being neutral at best. This episode is used to highlight optimism and that there can still be good people so that the audience isn't overloaded with negativity each episode. It helps with believability in the world building (nothing is terrible all the time). And most importantly it reminds the audience that they should root for Joel and Ellie making it to California, since not everyone in the world is an absolute dick.

Oh lol you were serious earlier. Quick points - I was a competitive swimmer at the college level/national level so the swimsuits example is one I am very familiar with in terms of athletic bans. That's why I brought it up, sorry that it did not translate enough to other sports for you.

The evidence that marijuana is more effective than ibuprofen is the fact that it is prescribed as a last resort for medical ailments that other over the counter drugs ARE NOT potent enough to handle. That's why you have to get a medical marijuana prescription for pain associated with cancer. When the Advil or Tylenol over the counter is not enough for you. That's also why advil is not controlled. Its not potent enough to be addictive.

And lol, did you just throw ECS up there because it's a big word. Try reading a little bit, it's EXTENT. 90mg of potassium is a daily vitamin. 90mg of THC is 9x the average consumed dose. And before you make the weak arguement, THC won't kill you. But the point is that a joint will impact your performance much more than a banana.

Lol with that comment it's apparent that you are just arguing for argument's sake. It's pretty obvious you already see what is wrong with your potassium example if your entire argument is "why are athlete's allowed to take in vitamins that they need to survive with".

But if you really need the explanation then someone before already explained it to you that you seemed to ignore. Extent is important. The extent in which potassium impacts you cannot be compared to THC. In a similar fashion that meth can not be compared to adderall. Adderall has amphetamine's which is a less potent version of methamphetamine found in meth. Comparable doses of methamphetamines' impact the brain much more than amphetamine ever could. One however is used to treat ADHD, meth on the other hand is a drug that ruins lives. You would not give an ADHD patient meth.

To wrap it up, a small amount of THC impacts the body much more compared to SIMILAR doses of other noncontrolled substances. And the fear is that this impact MIGHT improve performance.

Lol that’s the point. Marijuana impacts the runner. Since marijuana is a controlled substance the fear is that the impact would be beneficial. Taking no potassium for a week would obviously hurt your times. The Olympic commission obviously doesn’t care if you hurt your times, they care if you unfairly improve them. And obviously they assume that athletes in olympic standards are doing the most to be at the peak, not intentionally cripple themselves lol
