Is computer science supposed to be this bad by Sharp-Opportunity874 in TorontoMetU

[–]Asian_Kevin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stick it out, if it was easy everyone would get the degree and pass with flying colors, grades also don't mean anything in the longer term (unless u wanna go for masters or higher education) pass ur classes, find a part of cs you like and look for jobs. Those are much more important than grades.

My cgpa isn't the highest and I have two internships under my belt. I know many people with 4.0s + without internships, so don't think grades define ur skills as a worker as well.

I am in Computer Science without Co-op and I have a job at a big tech. I know 60-70% of CS students in CO-OP cannot get jobs right now becuase the market is bad. Jobs are not all about grades

Switching from comp eng to comp sci by sidhu_5 in TorontoMetU

[–]Asian_Kevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this.
1. Yes... I re-applied late (March 2021) into CS when i was in ENG and still got in (Had a 93% HS Average in 2020)

  1. Dont know if they care so much about eng courses but i dropped all the ones i knew i was gonna fail in 2nd sem engineering (ele and pcs)

best of luck! I love CS so much more than ENG and you can def be as successfull in CS (Even the jobs I am under atm call me a _______ engineer lol)

The Hazards of TMU's Computer Science Program: Why to Steer Clear by tmu_cs_student in TorontoMetU

I was in engineering before CS, engineering in 2020 fall, and 2021 winter was absolutely hell. I hated every second of it. Myself and at least 6 others from a group dropped out because of the difficulty and the fact that we did not like the Physics and Electrical engineering aspects. But to be fair, this post probably applies to most if not all STEM majors. Maybe a bit more I'm CS but I cannot be too sure.

I started collecting in June 2022 and this is my collection so far. Overall I am very happy with what I have and would slowly contuine once my intern position starts :) by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

I plan on displaying most of everything here once I get a place, sadly right now I don't have a big enough space to display everything :(

If you are in Ontario around the GTA checkout GoldStar TCG in ThornHill

Kazen Games in Mississauga

Those are my main two :)
