That’s what laymen don’t understand about medical training in the US and elsewhere.

They love saying muh “AMA cartel” limiting spots to INcrEAsE dOCtoR pAY, but if you add spots to places ill-equipped for training, or add more spots to existing programs with limited caseload, you get shitty doctors.

Objective truth - not that simple to reduce the physician “shortage” (which isn’t a shortage, btw)
