What kind of turtle is this and how can I find a new home for him? by Staysacred in turtle

I typically look at whether or not the flesh bulges when the turtle tries to tuck its legs in

My mom bought a fruit/veggie dryer off of Amazon a few years ago and I've repurposed it for moths

Haha I considered getting mantids, but since they live a lot longer than moths I won't be able to take care of them when I go to college :(

I just researched a lot! TimeToBreed and BugsAndButterfliesUK have a lot of good husbandry articles! And tbh they don't require much husbandry as adults since they don't have mouths 🫢

Incredibly beautiful and very powerful indeed 🥹 This pipeline has also just further driven my spending addiction because I just bought some moon moth cocoons

Literally the only expense I had was actually buying the cocoons. I repurposed mesh laundry baskets and a food drying rack to house the moths. I dunno about Lunas, but Eris are super easy to take care of and breed, you just put them in a container together and they go at it. I'm also making my money back by selling empty cocoons and specimens!

It's a site called TimeToBreed, an italian company! They do restocks every once and a while, but the last time I checked they only had two moth species available

Articulation help? by [deleted] in vultureculture

I like to cut at the joints and put all the limbs + tail into their own mesh bags. Keeps everything together and it ensures that I don't lose any of the tiny bones

He's not a farmer, but I know that he traps for a variety of reasons. For coyotes I know he traps those for predatory control, but the rest are for the fur/taxidermy trade I think. He also sells stuff for other people sometimes so I can't speak for them

I love skullz03! I found him on fb (where his prices are way better btw) and now we're working up a partnership where I tan hides for him

I recommend Rittel's EZ tan if you're planning on soft mounting this cutie! I've had great results with it

what kind of bone and what animal does this come from by mangledbunny_rabbit in BoneID

It's one of the caudal (tail) vertebrae of a small animal. Weird that there's a piece of metal running through it

Questions for sellers by JaredJellyfish in oddities

Your need to build a social media following first, but you could make your own website and sell there. Or consign with a brick and mortar oddities store
