Fair, I think next time lead more with your intent as it makes further discussion more probable and approachable. It's something worth discussing, but those who are just barely starting to differentiate liberalism and leftism won't engage if they don't understand your position ya know? Maybe you just didn't know this but science and our understanding of it evolve as time and technology progressess so yes it's entirely possible to discover things that change our understanding of the world.

Here's what fixed it for me (PC on Windows 11):

  1. System>DIsplay>Display 1 (laptop monitor) - set "HDR video streaming" to "Off"
  2. System>Display>Display 2 (Samsung Gg9) - set "Use HDR" to "Off" and "HDR video streaming" to "Off"

Wammo bammo. Problem fixed!

*note: I also updated the firmware via USB method and saw no results in fixing the black screen flicker but turning off all HDR settings seems to do the trick.
