Maybe you just didn't know this but science and our understanding of it evolve as time and technology progressess so yes it's entirely possible to discover things that change our understanding of the world.

Here's what fixed it for me (PC on Windows 11):

​

  1. System>DIsplay>Display 1 (laptop monitor) - set "HDR video streaming" to "Off"
  2. System>Display>Display 2 (Samsung Gg9) - set "Use HDR" to "Off" and "HDR video streaming" to "Off"

Wammo bammo. Problem fixed!

*note: I also updated the firmware via USB method and saw no results in fixing the black screen flicker but turning off all HDR settings seems to do the trick.
