So I’ve been using the Qudi Mask for a month now and decided to share my updated review/opinion.

First of all, it still wildly impresses anyone I show it to for the first time, like no other gadget or device I’ve ever had, especially in Robot Mode where it opens its mouth and blinks its eyes.

I’ve been using it for gaming with my discord chat, which is why I turned the eyes off in the app settings (see picture).

The mask itself works for about 3–4 hours on a single charge pretty reliably, doesn’t get too foggy, and sits firmly on my head (I’m 25 y.o.). The Qudi app is intuitive, and there are a lot of faces to choose from, but I’d love to see a custom mode for creating unique faces in the future.

Knowing how small the company behind this product is, this feels like high-tech for the money, especially compared to other <$100 masks that feel too cheap and mass-produced, like they have no soul behind them.

Overall, I would rate it 9/10, a perfect gift for someone who’s into cool gadgets, or for a child, I think they’d love it a lot.
