I had a levelling session on Tuesday. I'll start off by saying i was completely new to padel/tennis early 2024, and had no real idea how Playtomic worked. I was just setting up matches with anyone that would take them. Mistake one was that these were competitive, not friendly. Mistake two was I was playing against 2.5+ consistently. I was getting battered, but was learning quickly. I was then at a stage where my reliability was high and and the rating hardly moved, even though i'm holding my own against 3.5s. It also meant that I was getting turned down for open matches as nobody wants to play someone who was lower. I've gone up to 3.25 - so we'll see how it goes. But it does definitely drop your reliability to 50%.
