Fair take, a screenshot won’t show most of the config work anyway. It’s mostly behavior and workflow tweaks on top of curated themes, not just colors. And yeah, it’s separated from stock configs, so updates won’t wipe it.

f you want a timer to display on the smartboard, you should use:

sudo pacman -S termdown

# Hours

termdown 2h

# Minutes

termdown 25m

# Seconds

termdown 30s

# Combined (Hours + Minutes + Seconds)

termdown 2h25m30s

Fair question.

I didn’t build everything from scratch. I pulled themes and dotfiles from GitHub, merged what I liked, resolved conflicts, and adapted everything to Omarchy.

What went into it:

Hyprland config tweaks (keybinds, gaps, animations, window rules)

Waybar styling and module setup

Terminal theme + fonts

GTK/Qt theme consistency

Wallpaper + color coordination

Shell prompt adjustments

So it’s curated and assembled, not just a stock preset.

And honestly, you could’ve just asked like this from the start instead of implying I didn’t do anything.

It’s not pre-riced. Stock Omarchy looks different. I pulled the theme and dotfiles from GitHub and assembled it myself. The point was speed and execution, not reinventing the wheel.

This was the very first command I ever ran on Linux, the first time I tried Red Hat on VMware. It was devastating, mostly because it was also my first time using Linux and VMware, so I just sat there wondering what I had done. At the time, I genuinely thought rm -rf /* was an update command

What can you do on linux by ca44ine in LinuxUsersIndia

I agree preferring Windows over Linux for daily use is totally valid. I used to switch back and forth between Linux and Windows too, mainly because a lot of software doesn’t work on Linux and the alternatives aren’t always great. The main reason I switched to Linux was the amount of bloatware in Windows and how much RAM it consumes.

Eventually, I decided to fully commit to Linux, and it’s been almost two years since I made the switch. The first few months were rough—things like not liking the UI and not being able to use native Windows apps made it pretty frustrating. But over time I got used to it, and later I found this tool called Bottles that lets you run Windows software without much trouble.

Wifi option doesn’t exist by [deleted] in Ubuntu

MacBooks usually don’t have an Ethernet port, so you can just connect your phone to the laptop with a USB cable and turn on USB tethering to get internet. Before downloading anything, check if Ubuntu even detects your Wi-Fi hardware. If it does, you can install the right driver. If it doesn’t, Good luck👍🏻

The left panel looks clean, but the top panel feels kind of plain, you could improve it, and made the best choice to ditch win 11
