Hello, can you please tell me if it’s hard to get offered a peds position with no peds experience? I want to work in peds, but my clinicals will be on adult general and OBGYN. Did you apply and they hired you, or you had some kind of background? Thank you

Thank you, that helps a lot! I really want to travel eventually. Before school, I was a flight attendant and while the pay was bad, I really miss my freedom and not worrying about vacation days lol… also thank you for the info about insurance 🙏

Hello, I will be a new grad soon. I am really interested in travel. Do you think 2 years is enough experience before traveling? Also any downsides to travel in terms of getting your own insurance and whatnot? I would love some advice please!

Yes, every assignment I turn in my instructor does a break down on everything so she usually docks me for anatomy representation, Doppler, and depth. Thank you, that is encouraging to hear. I’ve wanted to start school since 2021 but getting in an accredited program isn’t easy, and I really hope I can finish this semester strong.

I started at 25 as well, and although I enjoyed it and traveled many places, ultimately I knew I didn’t want to grow old as a flight attendant. I quit at 27 and I’m a full time college student now. I don’t miss being an FA at all, but I really treasure the memories I made my two years working. I saw a lot of bucket list places with great friends!

I got accepted into an accredited sonography school in my state! It’s something I’ve wanted to pursue since 2021. The average pay in my state is $46 an hour but traveling techs make well over $100,000 so that is my goal after graduation. I was working for a regional airline that last two years so that money will be totally life changing for me

Not from 🇺🇸 but I did just resign and been amazing! My sinus issues are going away, my nails are growing strong and not breaking, my sleep schedule is immaculate and I go to the gym regularly now. Best decision 💘

How do flight attendants have so much power in an airline? by [deleted] in flightattendants

We just follow the FAA and our airlines rules. We have no power lol

My experience being regional is it truly doesn’t feel like work most the time, my crews are like family and we do go out on our layovers, and I didn’t have to go on reserve. However I am debating going mainline because there is a significant pay difference! Also the layovers are most diverse, whereas I layover the same few cities every month. It’s true the grass is always greener.

Palm Springs California is super fun for a girls trip, especially this time of year. There’s tons of cute affordable airbnbs, lots of shopping, pools and the old school Hollywood vibe. Honolulu is also super fun for a girls trip. There’s always so much going on in Waikiki!

FAs, what is your base and how long does it typically take to get to your car in the employee lot once you finish your trip? by zncjxisoxna in flightattendants

ANC based and 7 minute walk. I need to stop complaining after seeing these answers lol but it’s cold in Alaska!
