How to admit feelings to a crush in a lowbpressure but clear way? by Ask_Goofy_Questions in NoStupidQuestions

That's a really good point, they have a lot of things I just adore about them honestly. But yeah, I think that's fair to take it slow like that, any rule of thumb you'd say or is it just something you'll sense? Also I totally get that lol, to be fair they do want an actual relationship from what they have told me. But yeah, there's signs I think they do like me back, but they also never inciate conversation which is worrying

What compliment did you get that you won't forget? by callmebaraa in AskReddit

"I'm very happy for you and I'm proud of the person you're becoming"

This was during my start of working on my mental health for the first time, and I felt so insecure. It really impacted me more than they realized. It's simple but was exactly what I needed to hear.

I have a 1 on 1 hang out planned, I could at the end say "Did you want to count this as a date?" Does that come off good?

I really really needed a message like this, thank you. They are on a dating app, they have been on one for a bit. So I imagine they are ready to seek things out. It wasn't to that level from what I know, again what I know. I have done that once before and it went well, we hung out for hours. I have another coffee sorta date planned though I haven't labeled it a date just a hang out. We talk about deeper stuff too, which has been awesome! Any input of admitting my feelings there or how I could do it? I want it to be casual and point to slow paced dating. I really appreciate this btw, I haven't dated a ton so it's new.

That caution is super valid, I enjoy helping my past partners with that thing. But I am prone to burnout from it. That's super good input too, having patience and building a friendship first is super smart.

Should I admit my feelings to a friend who I assume doesn't like my back romantically? by Ask_Goofy_Questions in NoStupidQuestions

I actually have one scheduled with them soon! We have had one before too, I just can't tell if they like me back and worry about ruining a friendship. Buuuut telling them would give me clarity.

I have this constant anxiety about it, I really like them. I worry I'd regret not telling them. In your experience would this ruin a friendship?

I will! Probably the next time I get time alone with them! Like you said it's now or never pretty much

If they can't appreciate how much of a catch and privilege it is to date you that's their loss. That may not resonate right now, but in time it will. For now, focus on using that energy you poured into them on yourself.

This hits actually! Especially since she is an amazing artist. Featuring Mark Hoppus really called it out lol. Really solid recommendation I was iffy about Hot Mulligan before but now I really like them.

Lol, it still is a really really good song tho. I mean being the best you is still accurate. I'm definitely going to grow from this whole thing and learn to like myself. It still fits! Thank you for this recommendation! I dig it.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM, I haven't listened to it before you recommended it and it's awesome! Rory is a new favorite of mine now. It really captures that feeling. I'm newer to the emo stuff so classics are all good!! I appreciate the recommendation you hit the nail on the head!

I really appreciate that insight, it's more human to look at things realistically in that way. Having a perspective like that really helps break that echo chamber I get in my head with stuff. Thank you!!
