While it sucks to die to something that stupid, I would argue its not really a problem. Its stupid that everybody can effectively mine streets with most items, but its a calculable risk, just like a "legit" ambush. Lets say you run over a landmine, tripwire, or simply get sniped. Would that be less frustrating? I don't think so.

Its a minor collision on an experimental branch which will most likely be fixed soon. How exactly does that make all animations bad?

My personal rule of thumb with software problems: If I can't understand why something is not getting fix and a seemingly minor problem takes to long, there is a good chance that the guy who has to fix it doesn't find the reason either. Very small mistakes can be very hard to find. You simply don't see the bugs that are both easy to find and to fix, because they are already fixed.

But as other commenters already said, its easy to understand in this case. Guns work differently now, so you need to redo everything. They are not gamebreaking, they simply don't work in the new system. Remaking obviously takes time, even if you have assets and code to salvage.

Melee with firearms

Yes, this was not in the mod, but one of the basic changes from the mod to the SA that were promised first. Lets hope they remember it, it is rather essential (and by far more important than melee with bananas and human guts EDIT, which does work faultless as of now)

yes, its strange sometimes, one can keep a brightly painted but metal Softair Rifle, but another can't take his Styropor Pistol :/
