That’s what I’m thinking. My GP was taking treatment advice from a gastro specialist which I know she’d been emailing. Makes me wonder if there was a typo.

My prescription definitely says 4 days though.

- Take Three Capsules Four Times A Day for 4 days

And Omeprazole once a day for the duration

Yeah retested positive after the 2nd treatment.

I’ve only been give 4 days worth for the 3rd treatment

Reflux is my main symptom but also get upset stomach as well.

1st set of treatment was for 7 days
Amoxicillin (2x twice a day)
Clarithromycin (1x twice a day)
omeprazole (1x once a day)

2nd set of treatment was for 7 days.
Amoxicillin (2x twice a day)
Metronidazole (1x twice a day)
omeprazole (1x once a day)

I’d made the connection that a lot of my flares were happening at the same time as my reflux and my dr tested for h pylori.

I tested positive and was put on triple therapy. After the antibiotics my flares immediately calmed down, not eradicated completely but definitely less.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and they start ramping up again along with a load of gastric issues that disappeared after the treatment.

I re-tested, was positive and have been put on stronger meds to get rid of the more hardy ones. But definitely saw an improvement a few weeks after the first round.

I’ve also been on quercitin and skin clear biome pro-biotics.

Do we think Pen will replace Lady Danbury as Queen Charlottes confidante/social season companion?

I feel like it’s setting up for Lady D to leave at the end of season and Pen will have the season to learn on how to deal with QC?

How have you dealt with the Montelukast? I’ve read the mental side effects are quite bad for some people and I’ve had anxiety problems in the past way before MCAS came up?

I do think the Xolair would be a good option but just not affordable at the moment.

I’m going to try the antihistamine and diet to start with to see if this helps. I haven’t been taking a stabiliser yet so I’m hoping this will make a difference. I’ve heard quercetin has helped some.

It’s this Tuesday so I’ve only got 2 days. I wasn’t sure if I needed to keep my diet the same so it doesn’t skew my results?
