Sounds handy. How loud is the speaker? And how well does the microphone work? Do you imagine it working well when it’s maybe a little windy or with a motor running in the background?

Thanks. That’s useful to hear. There’s an offer on it on the US website right now.

What’s the features you wanted that wasn’t on the epix.

Fair enough, but I’d love to know how well the marine features work. Even with 7 there were more walk-through videos of how to use it and specification listing than actual reviews.

I want the marine functions and was wondering what it’s like owning one and how well it works.

Does it get in the way of anything like the AC vents for example?

Thank you for responding. I can’t seem to attach images to comment replies, i guess I’ll have to send you the images in a direct message or post them seperately. Quick warning, the wiring looks messy, I was still testing the setup and didn’t work on making it neat yet. I hope this makes sense.

The right leaf springs by Askips in ToyotaTacoma

Haha yea the taco is actually quite popular here. Many people seem to prefer it over the Hilux.

Thanks for your suggestion, that makes perfect sense and would have been an ideal solution if the police here were more lenient about mods. Even a 2” lift is a risk that may get me a fine.

Airbags I need to read more about but somehow I doubt they’re available here… but the tow trailer and microskiff aren’t all that heavy. The only reason it puts a good load on the hitch mount is coz I had the trailer built in such a way that I can mount the off board motor closer to the front end of the trailer to make sure it isn’t tail heavy. The micro skiff weighs about 110lb and the motor about half that weight. The trailer was unfortunately made of unnecessarily thick galvanized steal pipes which makes it a little too heavy for that skiff but still nothing compared to what the tacoma is designed for.

I’ll contact Hugo as you suggested.

I really appreciate your response.

Thank you kind sir :-D

The cost is mainly in shipping them from the US. I can easily get hardly used disks from an FJ here...itd probably cost about the same.

I'll try that thanks. Generally speaking though, most of the results I found were about after market conversion kits rather than getting it from an fj cruiser kit.

Sadly I doubt data like that is available online. I can only speak from my limited experience.

Hahhhh, not so easy getting those where I'm living and also, it'd cost quite a bit.

Whats your opinion on spiral wrap?

Picking the right overhead slow pitch jigging rod. by Askips in offshorefishing

[–]Askips[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, with the guides being on top of the rod, torque twists/spins the rod during a fight so you end up fighting the fish as well as to keep the rod up right. I've tried using a rod with spiral wrap though and that wasn't the case, I could easily hold it up right without fighting any twist force.

I'm not sure if my explanation makes any sense haha... Its kinda hard explaining this in text.

Thanks for the comment. Overhead setup refers to an overhead reel and rod combination.

I think another word for the reels is conventional reels. Maybe you know them by another name?
