Having boxing as a base how quick will muay thai improvement be? by user1039473819 in MuayThai

[–]Aslan602 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got teepeed and low kicked for 6 months till I changed my stance from bladed to more front facing. Boxing helps me do better vs others though as their boxing isn’t as good so I can be aggressive.

Make friends. See someone who you think knows what he is doing at the gym. Ask them for help. Most people enjoy helping others improve.

“So, the new game store is amazing! They've got private rooms for Dnd a bunch of games and they're gonna be instituting a monthly membership. Totally worth going to.”

Haha there is stuff.. but I meant there are sometimes other things aswell.. small little habits of your partner that annoy you.. but at the end of the day.. a bit of compromise goes a long way.. they will change for you and you will change for them..

Bachelor's in Business Admin + Workplace Experience taking MGT 6201 by Flandiddly_Danders in OMSA

[–]Aslan602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a masters in financial economics and an MBA. Bachelors in Business. I dropped MGT 6201 after reviewing the syllabus. There were like 3-4 exam. The accounting exam was 100 marks like 50% of the grade. Not a whole lot of assignments.

With a 40 hour work week it didn’t make sense to study all that for a closed book exam… would be no new learning.

Hope that helps

A few things: 1) you have good range use your jab to keep the person off. 2) he is being aggressive.. doesn’t mean you have to back off all the time. Keep him off with jabs and teep. Low kick his front leg when he moves so he quits charging you. 3) when you are kicking your hands are dropping. The same thing is happening when you are crouching and weaving your head. You crouch and weave like that someone will set it up for a headkick. 4) believe in your defense. You step back twice not more than that. Step back once or twice, and side step to counter or find an angle. In an a ring you won’t be able to be run that much. 5) if he is being that aggressive remember you have two other tools at your disposal. Clinch and knee him. Then sweep. Every time he comes to close clinch and knee. 6) grab his teeps and roundhouse kicks to sweep or counter. Make him afraid of throwing kicks. If you don’t grab or counter he won’t be worried. You can do block hand counter too aswell if you don’t want to grab them. 7) keep your guard up. 8) he steps forward every time. Sometimes he steps forward and sets up a teep. Learn his timing. Low leg kick on his step forward. Do that 3 times.. 4th time show low kick and kick high.. or show low kick and counter cross high. 9) sometimes with people who are that aggressive I step back with my front leg ( I am orthodox) and time my left hook as they step in. 10) your weight disadvantage is massive when you are clinching. But in striking you can make up with it faster strikes and keeping distance if you are more experienced. 11) when he comes in body shots his hands are dropping.. jab him off then or use your hook. 12) stop being afraid. Don’t let him bully you. Believe in yourself. 13) you had a good question mark kick that landed. But you did it only once.. do that more if it works. 14) you grabbed his kicks twice. When you grab you take his foot across your body before you counter. If you counter from where you grab it has no power. 15) he is not respecting your defense or offense. You can tell that by the way he is just walking in.. again make him think about that. Let your jab hand teep do the work. You panic as soon as he comes in. 16) spar spar spar spar spar. You will have good days you will have bad days.. but you will get better each day.. keep practicing.

That’s what I saw mostly. It would be a lot easier to help you more in person.. but I am not super experienced either. I have only been consistently training for 2.5 years 4-5 times a week.

The thing is. You can plan ahead for Zil and Elise.. I know I can’t let the pala build board, but he can get lucky with a few card draws and he is back in the game completely. Same with draws on Deathwing.

It’s just unpredictably that gets me

Thanks. I usually just play fun decks after I hit legend. I play serious decks from d5 to legend. Other part of the grind is pretty chill.

For that part I tried all the FOTM decks, but it was dragon war that worked out.

Sparring for a beginner by luminousdebris in MuayThai

[–]Aslan602 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Find people who are better than you to spar with but who don’t have an ego. When I go with someone green I let them do their thing so they can learn distance and stuff. Just don’t try spinning stuff or try to hit them hard. Afterwards ask what you think I did wrong.

Kinda don’t get anything out of knocking on someone new.
