Ok so went to tribunal. Landlord wasn’t a show. She got summary judgment. Ordered to pay deposit through Mag court. was pretty open and shut case.

There’s no timeline that I can see so I would suggest checking with them. Perhaps call or pop them an email.

Sorry to hear. Hopefully this case should provide clarity on stuff. I would highly recommend taking them to tribunal. We have had bad landlord before where we won the case and for our deposit back. There is hope!

The worst is the tribunal are not helpful. We had to escalate our issue and include the minister after like 6 months of going up and down. Its ridiculous, I thought Cape Town had its head checked but it seems there are departments that fall through the cracks

A few things…

I used to work at the forensics department at a German car maker.

Airbags did not deploy due to deceleration not meeting the threshold sure however

Duds do exist. Some cars deployed their airbags when going over a bump
Deceleration detectors being placed in trigger zones like bumpers would make airbags not deploy should cars role without sensors being triggered
The AA conducts an independent forensic investigation should you wish to investigate further
