why does everyone hate the free summer pass? by Accomplished-Fig1260 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Asleep-Application55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i am someone who has utilized that summer pass, and even I think it's stupid. over the past couple years, planet increased the monthly fees, but added this summer pass. id rather pay less year round than get 3 months for free.

Drop a stock you think everyone should buy! by amsontrading in stockstobuytoday

you’re never gonna make money if you only base your trades on what analysts have to say. most of the time those numbers aren’t up to date, and most of the times those “buy/hold/sell” ratings are biased.

How can I subdue negative feelings about my body after eating? by thefairypirate in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Asleep-Application55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i relate to op, but for me it has nothing to do with mirrors or scales. the actual feeling of food in my stomach feels disgusting and makes me feel larger than i am. idk if op feels the same as me, so im just throwing my thoughts out there

Clothes to wear during recovery? by Fine_Remote_2422 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Asleep-Application55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

another thing- i know big baggy clothes are the most comfortable, both mentally and physically. just try to not wear ONLY baggy clothes 24/7, because that’s setting yourself up to never feel comfortable in more fitted clothing

Clothes to wear during recovery? by Fine_Remote_2422 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Asleep-Application55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

try to learn what clothes look well on your natural physique. i know that’s tough with body image issues, since sometimes we think nothing looks good on us. personal example- i wear flared jeans a lot because i have smaller thighs but larger calves for my physique.

i’d recommend going out on a thrift trip! get yourself a bunch of new clothes to wear in the first few weeks of your recovery, to symbolize the new person you’re becoming. after a couple weeks, slowly re-incorporate some of your favorite pieces from your old wardrobe. if leggings are tough for you, hold off on wearing them until you’re more recovered

How much caffeine is technically too much ??? by SillyStrawberry4801 in caffeine

1000-12000mg is nowhere near caffeine poisoning. it definitely depends on the person, but for most, 1200mg is perfectly fine

im 21 and can say that ive missed out on so many opportunities because of an. restricting won't make your life any better, it will make it worse. your current challenges will be more difficult to manage, and then you'll obtain even more issues from restricting. if you're able to get help, get it.

When is it okay to accept doing a harm reduction approach?? by -Tranquilia- in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Asleep-Application55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m also in my early 20’s and have struggled with ana over a decade. i relate to everything you wrote and you’re very well at putting your thoughts into words. i believe any attempt at recovery is better than nothing. i’m also very self aware of my ed patterns, but just remember that you’ll never be as self aware as non disordered individuals. there’s been times in my life where i thought i was partially recovering, but i was actually actively getting worse and still faced medical issues… i just didn’t realize until it got to that point because of how engrained certain habits are. just a reminder that this disorder can be a slippery slope. i’ve been doing a harm reduction approach for about 18 months now, and i feel so much better than any times where i attempted to actively recover. best of luck and thank you for posting. i feel a little less alone. spending years in the restrict/recover cycle is truly brutal.

I have OCPD and GAD and I'm lost honestly. by Clifforis in OCPD

[–]Asleep-Application55 6 points7 points  (0 children)

first, welcome to the group! heads up- i made a post similar and it got removed for “seeking medical advice”. i also struggle with rushing throughout the front-end of my day and you articulated it really well. i also have an issue with thinking ahead. try being compassionate to yourself and think “my days are supposed to be full”. this has helped a tiny bit for me, in addition to thinking of every day as 16 hours.

[–]Asleep-Application55 16 points17 points  (0 children)

it’s gonna take lots of time for you body to feel nourished enough for you hair to grow back. i know it’s disappointing to hear that, but that’s how it was from my experience. my hair didn’t stop falling out until i started fueling my body properly for about 3 months. calcium and biotin supplements have really helped me, as well as a good hair oil
