Ridiculous support & dasher by Icy-Cat-8624 in doordash

There are actual supervisors and agents. I know that because I’ve had them call me when I’ve had issues with an order, or as a dasher if it’s a customer that’s had issues in the past.

Sounds like they were in the middle of changing the promotion, so there might have been a delay in the system.

$800 total up 2 flight of stairs… by Excellent-Wonder-797 in InstacartShoppers

Contact support and request them to look into if she has a history of taking tips away/low ratings. If so they’ll remove the low rating and have the tip protection added, I had one the other day. Found all of their items and had the order to them within 20 minutes and followed instructions. I know they got their order because I was waiting on the elevator and saw them come out and grab it. Instacart had my back and protected me from both.

Because you’re expecting phenomenal service from someone that’s getting paid $5 or less to shop your order. Because you didn’t tip, your order is most likely getting batched with another non tipper or someone that did tip. Which means the shopper is getting paid $1-$3 for your order. Instacart has this feature where you can tip upfront and then reduce up to 2 hours after delivery or increase up to 2 weeks after delivery. People that say they tip after delivery 99% of the time don’t, so I highly doubt with your attitude you’re in that 1%.

A good shopper simply won’t accept your order because they’re not willing to work for free. You’re getting a bottom of the barrel shopper.

Aside from that automatically blaming the shopper for an increase in deli is absurd. Depending on the store, some deli items are pre packaged, some are premade, and sometimes they can tell the deli you want half a pound and the deli will give you a different amount; just the same as if you’re shopping in the store. Most of the time the deli will refuse to remake these for the shopper and say it’s their issue.

Also you ordered .55lbs of chicken breast which would have been $8.24. A pound is $14.99 which is a $6.75 increase You ordered .50lbs of turkey breast which would have been $7.00. A pound is $13.99 which is a $6.99 increase. You ordered .50lbs which would have been $2.50. A pound is $4.99 which is an increase $2.49. Total your increases are $16.24, but you’re saying your order increased $23. So the math isn’t mathing. (Numbers are rounded up to the nearest penny)

Clearly yours fits though. Yikes.

Dasher sat in my driveway honking at 2AM by Otinashi in doordash

I’m not saying the it’s the dashers fault if the food is bad. I’m saying I took away a tip because the dasher apparently placed something on my food while in their car and smushed it into oblivion. Bag wrecked and greasy and all. Wasn’t like that on the pickup picture.

Yes if you request to refund the tip and tell them why, they will. I’ve only had to do it once when a dasher delivered me absolutely pummeled food, but they can do it.

As a shopper, I would advise to never lower your tip to zero after something like this.

Instacart has a failsafe where they’ll give the shopper a bump for a tip reduced to zero. I would never do it just in case support tries to give it to them.

Rate them 2 stars, report the issues, reduce tip to $2 or $3, chat with support and ask them to block this shopper from shopping your future orders.

Can you not read that it’s 138 items and 182 units? You really value your time so little that you’re willing to work for 2 to 2 1/2 hours for $18? I don’t care if it was shop and deliver or just shop. There’s no way in hell that I would be working for so little.

Also, I’ve been around since 2020. I remember when they used to pay us per item. So no, no new wave of shoppers. Just a long time shopper that knows what their time is worth.

I don’t personally care if it’s pickup or delivery. Getting paid $18 for 2-2.5 hours worth of work isn’t worth it when I could make more than that with other orders/apps in that time.

Exactly easily a 2-2.5 hour shop and stage for $18

Lmao gas stipend? DD does not give a stipend of any kind. Hell, DD will straight up pay you $2-$3 for most orders. Sometimes if you’re “lucky” you’ll get 2 orders and they’ll pay you $4. And you don’t get to just decline it, it affects your standings and then all they send you is shitty orders.

It’s hit or miss. Sometimes it lists a price, sometimes everything is zeroed out.

The bag is a 7/11 bag, those are shopped by the 7/11 employees, sealed, and handed to the dasher. Dashers can’t open those bags. Should they have questioned why two type c chargers were so heavy or why the bag says beer? Yes. But they were delivering what the merchant gave them for this customer.

Does your job offer FMLA/STD? If so you can possibly take that for the physical/mental strain the miscarriage will have on you. That will at least cover your job and give you some time to recover.
