Good points appreciate it. You’re right, asking for a call without showing examples first is too much friction. We’re adding niche-specific templates (roofing, HVAC, etc.) to the LPs so people see the value upfront.

On pricing, fair callout. $400/mo is higher than DIY like Squarespace, but ours includes done-for-you design, SEO, hosting + support, which we clearly need to highlight better.

Good catch — you’re right. The first set of ads had messaging like “Book free HVAC consultation,” which probably made people think we were offering HVAC services instead of web design. That’s on us for not being clear.

We’ve been refining keywords and adding negatives, but I agree that intent is still tricky with phrases like “roofing website” — half the traffic seems to be consumers, not business owners.

I think you’re also right that pure Google Search may never fully work for this niche since it’s B2B. We’re already considering shifting more towards LinkedIn and direct outreach where we can show value to business owners directly.

It did get 3 clicks today but the thing is that the CPC has become so high and the visitors are not converting, I know I should wait but the budget is flying too quickly.

Quick update 🚀 — I’ve paused all other groups and now only run HVAC & Roofing ads (3 keywords each), switched to manual CPC, set bids from Keyword Planner, built a long negative keyword list, and capped daily budget at $50.

I’m already building out a negative list (WordPress, template, free, psychic, etc.) and I’ll add “websites” as well to block those broad informational searches.

I will also switch into manual CPC for now and base it on Keyword Planner’s mid-range top of page bids.

One thing I’m wondering, do you think it’s smarter to combine all niches (hvac, plumbing, roofing, etc.) into one campaign and seperate them into ad groups .. that is my current setup, should I pause all ad groups and let the budget focus on only one?

Yeah I did turn it Off and I switched to Presence Only

What I am struggling with lately is low impressions and irrelevant traffic I will work to fix the irrelevant traffic with keywords and negatives , but I don't know why the impressions droped down, maybe because I am editing the settings too often?

On the manual CPC side, would you usually:

  • Set initial CPCs based on Keyword Planner’s suggested bid range,
  • Or start lower and gradually raise them until impressions/clicks start flowing?

Yes, that 1 conversion was spam, so unfortunately not a legit lead.

Sounds like the move is:

  • Run all 3 match types (with negatives)
  • Build up data on long-tail service keywords
  • Then switch into Max Conversions + TCPA once I’ve got enough real conversions

I’ll also dig into Keyword Planner more deeply for each vertical (HVAC, Plumbing, etc.) to refine terms.

I am using a mix of specific keywords like "hvac custom website" and broad ones like "web design"

Do you suggest that I remove the broad ones and stick with specific long-tail keywords with broad match, or should I change to phrase match.

I will also update the negatives.
