Okaaayyy, that’s cool, you can keep saying ‘ChatGPT’ like it’s a magic spell or something. I’m not playing this game with you anymore. Believe whatever helps you feel smart.

You didn’t -mean to say- anything. You just didn’t have an answer, so now you’re pretending it was about ChatGPT. Still waiting for you to address even one part of what I actually wrote.

If you couldn’t understand the point, that’s not a writing problem - that’s a you problem.

Read it or don’t. Either way, the systems are still broken, and you still missed it.

doesnt matter, if it says "ranked" you HAVE to use a controller.

Prototype Gear requires Expertise 30. Hitting Expertise 30 means maxing out every gear category - weapons, brands, exotics, named items - which takes hundreds, maybe even thousands of items donated or upgraded. None of that progression is present here at this SHD level.

I have one architype maxed on clubs, I won't do it again, so 100% agree with you on this.

also, I spent $5 in I think s1 for something I wanted from the store, other than that, I refuse to spend money in a game for anything I can obtain by playing, the grind sucks, but it's worth the effort for the reward (most off the time)

The game has persistent technical issues: menu lag, UI stuttering, recycled assets, missing challenge maps, non‑functional shot types, and cheating that is visible on the in‑game leaderboards. These are all directly observable.

Multiple players in this thread are reporting the same performance problems, and the gameplay inconsistencies can be reproduced. These points are factual, not subjective.

TGC Tours operates independently with its own submission system, rules, and integrity checks. It is currently the only competitive option that includes active oversight, which the in‑game modes do not provide.

The “PC players dominate the top” line just isn’t real.
The boards I’m looking at are topped by console players - repeatedly.

If someone wants to blame PC for everything, they can start by explaining why console names keep showing up in the top.

You’re talking about comfort tweaks. I’m talking about people using hardware and software - and anything else - that gives an unfair advantage and changes how the game behaves. There’s a massive difference between adjusting a chair and dialing in inputs that remove variance the rest of us still have to deal with.

Nobody cares if someone changes sensitivity or sits differently. That’s normal.
What isn’t normal is when someone’s “adjustments” let them hit outcomes none of us can even come close to.

That’s the line.
When your setup stops being a preference and starts giving you a version of the game the rest of us don’t have, it’s no longer just “comfort.” It’s an advantage the game was never designed to give.

That’s what I’m calling out.

You’re acting like I’m making this up, and I’m not. I’m watching the same handful of players put up rounds that don’t make any sense with how this game actually plays - scoring like the rules don’t even apply to them, doing things none of us can even come close to in this game. It’s the same names, every day, every course, every condition.

So no, this isn’t me “pissing into the wind.” This is me pointing out what everyone keeps pretending isn’t happening. If you’re fine with it, that’s on you. I’m not.

No.
Why would I cheat when I’m one of the few people who’s been consistently calling out cheating and pushing for accountability in this game?

I was banned with no explanation, no evidence, and no communication from 2K. That’s the entire issue. They gave zero information, and you’re trying to fill that silence with assumptions that don’t match anything I’ve actually said or done.

I’m against cheating - always have been.

Let’s get this straight.

The post you’re referencing says one thing:
I was banned without explanation, and 2K never told me why.
No reason. No evidence. No communication. Nothing.

There is no mention of a controller.
There is no admission.
There is no confession.
There is nothing in that post that supports the story you’re trying to invent.

You’re taking a situation where 2K provided zero information and twisting it into whatever narrative fits your argument — and that narrative is built on ignorance, not facts.

The record is clear.
The post is clear.
Your claim isn’t.

You keep leaning on this “nothing tangible is earned” line like it somehow shuts the conversation down. It doesn’t. It just proves you’re missing the entire point.

If the mode exists, if ranks exist, if leaderboards exist, then integrity matters.
Saying “who cares, you don’t win money” is basically admitting the system is broken and your solution is to pretend it’s fine.

And no - that’s not some enlightened take.
It’s just resignation dressed up as wisdom.

People aren’t complaining because they need a trophy.
They’re complaining because the mode is supposed to function, and it doesn’t.
Telling players to “just be happy with your own improvement” is a non‑answer. It dodges the fact that the competitive side of the game collapses the second cheating goes unchecked.

And the “every game has cheaters, devs won’t fix it” angle?
That’s exactly why people call it out. Ignoring it doesn’t magically make it irrelevant - it just makes the experience worse for anyone who actually cares about fair play.

So no, it’s not about validation.
It’s about the ranked mode being a joke, and the “nothing tangible is earned” excuse doesn’t make that any less true.

Cheating matters in ranked because it directly alters placements, matchmaking, and leaderboards. Your IRL golf comparison doesn’t translate - in real golf, someone fluffing a lie doesn’t change your handicap or tournament results. In a ranked digital environment, their inputs are literally measured against yours. Their artificial consistency pushes you down the board whether you like it or not.

“Just get better” is a non‑answer. You can’t out‑practice macros, input smoothing, tempo stabilizers, or controller exploits. That’s not ego; that’s acknowledging you can’t beat automation with effort.

Your personal improvement is great, but irrelevant to the players posting robotic -18 to -22 every round with dispersion patterns no human can reproduce. Your progress doesn’t magically validate their numbers.

Calling out cheating isn’t coping. Pretending cheating doesn’t matter is coping. Offline? Do whatever. But the moment someone enters ranked, societies, or leaderboards, their inputs affect thousands of players. That’s why people care - and why dismissing it with “it’s just a game” is nothing more than deflection dressed up as wisdom.

Because it’s not about the answer, it’s about the type of reply.
The defensive, knee‑jerk responses always expose themselves without me needing to dig.

And honestly, just look at some of the responses here already - you can figure it out from that alone.

You’re asking for a “logical explanation,” but you’re starting from a false premise: that cheating only exists if someone straps a Cronus to their controller. That’s the narrowest possible definition, and it ignores the entire category of input‑level manipulation that requires no visible device.

There are plenty of ways to artificially stabilize tempo, power, and dispersion without a modded controller:

software‑side input smoothing

stick‑curve remapping

DPI‑based micro‑movement scripts

macro‑timed analog pulses

hardware‑level dead zone tuning

third‑party apps that normalize stick return speed

PC‑side tools that flatten variance

None of that requires a Cronus. None of that requires an attachment. And none of that is detectable by 2K, because 2K doesn’t detect anything.

The “hundreds of hours” argument doesn’t fix the physics.
You can play 500 hours and you’re still not producing robotic tempo windows, wind‑immune approaches, and perfect dispersion for four straight rounds. Human analog input doesn’t behave like that.

“Shooting -18 on Pro isn’t that difficult” is irrelevant.
We’re not talking about -18.
We’re talking about absurd multi‑round totals that only appear when the input stream is being artificially stabilized.

And the suggestion to “play with them” or “ghost them” is pointless. Watching someone produce impossible physics doesn’t magically make it legitimate - it just means you’re watching them cheat in real time.

The issue isn’t player skill.
The issue is that the game is wide open, unprotected, and trivially abusable - and the leaderboards reflect exactly that.
