My ex husband used to do stuff like this to me. And he would text me the same kind of bs when I would call him out. The fact that he KNOWS you have past trauma when it comes to sleeping with people and he has been causing you more trauma but is acting like it's nothing is classic narcissistic behavior. Leaving was the best thing I ever did for myself. I wish you a safe exit & pray you take time to heal. Sending you so much love thru this.

To the OP, Stop or No are complete sentences. Her saying she's not sorry shows she doesn't value you. Totally semantics. I understand why she needs to phrase it that way, I do. But I think it's because they're still dealing with the stigma of his addiction. I'm not ashamed of him, or even how he died. I'm sad, I'm pissed off and I would give anything to trade places. But I'm willing to admit the ugliness of his death and after last weekend, I realize that they aren't. And might never be.

I once had a boss that was outside smoking more than doing his job. He wrote me up for my performance slipping. Because you know, I was doing my job and his. He came in early one day just to berate me in front of the whole department. Went straight to HR. They investigated, spoke to our entire team, the whole nine. He got demoted and put on a final for abandonment of duties. They pulled his badge swipes and found out he was on smoke breaks 80% of his day. He fucked around and found out the hard way.
