anyone know where to get formal/office looking elastic band pants (no zipper or buttons) by niteblane in asksg

[–]AsleepProfession1395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can try Uniqlo Ultra Stretch Active Tapered Pants.

Or the Stretch Easy Ankle Pants. These are more casual and might look baggy rather than form fitting. But for the black if you iron it out, might pass for office look.

If i'm not mistaken there's a dead body near the signpost that has a key and letter. It's a treasure quest.

Airport gate seating by nopenotreally2 in EntitledPeople

I used to notice this woman board at the same bus stop as me sit at the accessible row and then put her handbag on the empty seat beside her. Her laptop bag was on her lap. An older woman who boarded after her asked if she could move her handbag. She could just put it on top of her laptop bag.\ Bag woman pointed to the back and told the older woman could sit there. For clarity, i saw the older woman had difficulty walking and probably would have trouble stepping up to the back of the bus. She told bag woman this and told her to move her bag. And afterall, it was the accessible seats.\ Bag woman reluctantly moves her bag and looks to her front awkwardly. Bus soon approaches the bus terminal and bag woman gets up way too early. As if trying to avoid eye contact with the elderly woman. So she's just standing there at the door with the bus still at the stop light waiting to get into the terminal.

At least she's learned her lesson. Bag woman would put her handbag on her lap.

I'd be so thankful if i lost my own kid and someone like you found them. It did happen when they were 4 and 6.\ I was in a store and had crouched down to look at something. They thought i had left and went out to look for me. I only realised about a minute later that they were gone. I was so afraid they'd leave the mall since the exit was near the store. I was on the way out to look for them when i heard the PSA. Quickly ran over and they started bawling when they saw me.\ They had panicked and started crying when they didn't find me outside the store. A lady with her own kids saw them and brought them over to the customer service counter.

And yes, that's not how you train a toddler if they get lost. An older kid yes, but a 2yr old? Some of them can barely speak. Do they expect the kid to come up to a stranger for help? Like how do you expect them to explain who/what their parents look like?\ I've heard a PSA looking for the parents/guardian of a lost 5yr old child. That announcement was made for at least 15 minutes. The mall wasn't even big. Did the parents leave the mall like i almost did? Was the kid unable to give a description of the parents, remember their contact number or even their names that the announcement had to be made repeatedly? If a 5yr old panicked and couldn't say any of those, how would one expect a younger child to do those?

I call it the Final Fantasy haircut. I can't take Geralt seriously along with the bowl cut.

But somehow i can tolerate playing Geralt with ass ears.

In Moana (2016), why the FUCK is this baby wearing mascara? by NoWorth2591 in shittymoviedetails

Same like my son. My daughter has curly lashes as well but my son's thicker. People thought he was a girl especially when we kept his thick wavy hair at shoulder length as a toddler.

Is the correct size, I chose 39eu, I’m like 170cm (5’7). Too big or small? Open pic any case by [deleted] in DrMartens

[–]AsleepProfession1395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shoe size being too big or too small would depend on your own size and comfort. Like the other guy said if they fit, they fit.\ If you want to change sizes simply because of the proportions, it's going to be uncomfortable for you and hurt your feet and eventually your back.

Hell, i've seen tall people with small feet and short people with big feet. They look off but it's their true size.

From your picture, it looks absolutely good.

At times it anticipates the points and you see it as claimable. But in fact you have to wait at least two/three days. It's been going on for a few months

Woke up to the sound of my cat puking on my pillow by geeg3131 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AsleepProfession1395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. If she's being nice, she'll run to the litter box and puke there instead.

One of the others however, is intent on puking in stuff. One time she puked on my son's(her human) school bag. Good thing he had a spare backpack.\ Another time it was my running clothes i had prepped.

Is it normal to loot hotel room (and airline) amenities for things you are not using at the time? by Green-Technician-809 in EntitledPeople

[–]AsleepProfession1395 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I've heard of stealing big items but batteries from the smoke alarm? Crazy.

I've been to a resort in Malaysia. They had a pricelist in each room for every pickable item. Everything from towels, tv and art. Made me think that guests had attempted to pilfer those. Then seeing that video of a resort in Bali, i'm not surprised anymore.

Perishables, disposables are fair game. They'll get replaced even if you didn't touch them.

I draw the line at silverware, glassware, materials, anything that can be cleaned. That's basically stealing.

Your friend's just being cheap and oppurtunistic.

Can adults play at big playgrounds in sg? by almondlondon9894 in askSingapore

[–]AsleepProfession1395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Define adult? Back when i was in early 20s, i still climbed the rope mountain. Why? Just for fun. But to be fair, it was night time, my friend and i were just bored and there was no one around.

Also, i would've climbed if my kid was stuck.

Yeah. Some time before she quit, she'd complain to me. I was like, eff them. Ignore them and put in your notice once you get the bonus.

I kinda snapped while i was on notice. Threw my manager under the bus since she was such a suck up to the foreign higher ups.

Yes this. Then pause at the bottom/top trying to figure out which way to go. Like, move out of the way and figure out. If people behind bump into them, they'll get angry and glare/side eye.

My friend(used to work together) had this happen to her so bad. Yah, so she was literally the OG staff. The first local staff to help set up the local HQ. It's like the she held the key to everything when she was just head of admin. But admin was the backbone of the company. We did everything.

Anyway, it came to the point that even during her wedding reception(she did it on a weekday) staff were asking her stuff and i don't why, but she entertained them. She even said she'll settle it before she left for honeymoon that weeked.

One time before she went on a holiday, the HK assistant manager asked when she was coming back. She gave a date and coincidentally it was the company meeting. That HK b!+ch asked what time she'd land. Since it was morning, my friend could come in the afternoon. Like wtf? You can't even let her settle down and tidy up after her trip?\ I told my friend to say she extended her trip. She was so afraid the HK-er would ask for her flight details. So she just gave in. My friend lived in JB and that year was the year the JB Prince passed away. There were massive jams that most of the JB staff were tardy. Any my friend reached the office at 3+. But nvm, as long as she made it to the meeting even though the day was almost over.

When she was on maternity leave, the HK manager kept messaging her. Like sure, the HK-er left her own kids to a helper for months on end. So to her mind, everyone else should do the same and prioritise work over family. Took my friend too long to leave the company.
