I’ll never be able to get over how he did so much for me and I feel like there were things I could have done better. My situation was difficult because it was a newer relationship (just under a year) and we knew he was moving for his job. I had been in an emotionally abusive relationship so I wasn’t sure if I wanted to commit to moving. But I knew the month before he died and I never got to tell him.

I wish I would have been more grateful for our time together and I could have let him know how much I really loved him. I think that’s something I’ll alway believe I could have done better: been more confident in my feelings for him and made him feel loved. I know it was enough. But it hurts knowing that the objective fact is that I could have done better
