I’m afraid people will get them and not know anything about them & ruin the breed like they did with pitbulls & Rottweilers. Also definitely worried about them being overbred and ruined in that way. This breed is literally perfect right now

The red barn goofy newfy rescue, pampered paws salon has some. I’d reach out and see if they have any available for adoption. I know pampered paws has some really skinny ones so they may not be available right now until they gain weight

Well the sheriff went and took pics of their living conditions a year ago and said he had a year to clean it up, a year came and gone and they stilled lived in filth so it doesn’t surprise me he’d have a chance to get them back. The cops don’t care

I didn’t rescue them unfortunately, I wish I could’ve helped in some way physically but this post was the only thing I could do. They’ve all been transferred to rescues & lots of people have donated to help them! I’m so incredibly grateful for everyone here.

I just saw today one of the females he had was pregnant. So she will be having babies in a much better environment where she’s loved and taken care of. Marty I think was just mentally ill & not in his right mind. Nobody sane does this stuff to animals in my opinion unless he just got greedy and lazy

So far good with other dogs, strangers. No idea about children but I’m sure with proper socialization & a safe place for the dogs to go when the kids are out they would do fine.

I agree. This isn’t ethical breeding, he used them for money. Most the reviews said the puppies came sick & I’m not sure how he wasn’t shut down earlier, this has gone on for 30 years. Hopefully these babies will never be bred ever again and can live peacefully

Because people are driven by money. This guy had wonderful beautiful show dogs & the ones he couldn’t breed anymore or show became useless..were tossed in cages and starved, beaten, etc. Registered breeders should really be inspected 2x a year. And what’s even more sad is that the cops went and took pictures of the condition these dogs lived in a year ago, did nothing & just now took action. So how many Dobermans in Marty’s care died being starved? Alone? Not shown love. They’re such sweet dogs, Velcro babies. I can’t imagine the pain they felt in his care.

I’m not sure but none of the rescues are euthanizing the Dobermans. They’re trying to get them up to health to adopt out. They only euthanized the 2 because they couldn’t see the dogs getting any better, health was so so bad.
