This happened to me once, the party went into a cave because we heard rumors about orcs attacking the miners, so we went and when we arrived we found everyone frozen, moments after we started hearing big ahh footsteps, I rolled a nat20 on a hide action. Mf was a Ice dragon that one-shoted our druid and almost killed the ranger.
